Just saw this myself, looks very promising!
hooray canon
Looks fun. Now I just need more storage on my phone...
It seems ok, we already have Purge Troopers / Dark Trooper in the canon because of Star Wars the Force Unleashed and other games or mediums showing them off. Funny... The guy who was in charge of Star Wars the Force Unleashed 1&2 moved on too Kabam around the time Lucas Arts died, now he is probably working on this game.

The Force Unleashed is not canon.
And funnily enough, apparently one of the guys from BioWare who worked on Knights of the Old Republic is supposed to be working on it, too.
Lots of promise.
Sounds interesting but am I the only one who realizes how insane the idea of the governor having the amount of troops, ships, and especially Interdictors needed to come even remotely close to being able to lock down the entire sector is?

Back away, he's gonna come back spitting lasers about the canon status of video games. He could also just mean they aren't anything new.
I want a Knights of the New Republic, as a Kotor 3 kind of.

He only wants things to be canon that he actually wants to be canon.

The story is canon for so many different reasons. One the current writers for SW mediums have ether said that the past material will be worked back into current material, others have said that everything is still canon just the fine details may become non-canon, while others have said they will hand wave or correct any inconsistencies that may arise with new works vs their older material. Two Disney / LFL has proclaimed that only canon material will be made into merchandise, this was dictated too Hasbro and LFL has to approve anything they make as well as FFG and anyone else that makes their merchandise, Force Unleashed material has been used for merchandise and now is being used in a game "Uprising". Three the one and only thing that has been mentioned being non-canon, and not retracted, is the SWToR dlc.
The way i understand it nothing is canon until it appears or is specifically mentioned in the new movies, shows, novels, comics, or PC/video games.
When the EU was obliterated into the land of non-canon, that doesn't mean that those stories won't be re-used. They did this move to start with a clean slate and not be boxed in by the years of George. But any good story line won't be completely dropped if they can find a use for it.
Think of the Marvel Comic Universe vs the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The movies draw on stories from the comics to build their own canon. So if Disney decides to use elements of the Force Unleashed, it will do so in the same manner. I would not consider it official canon until it been reintroduced.
Well considering I consider Legends to be the official canon, I don't even argue the canonicity of things anymore. I just ignore the canon and read Legends as true SW anyways.
:D

Anikan's apprentice, Ahsoka Tano, founded the Rebellion. Maybe she sometimes called her self "Starkiller" while she was about it?

Depends what "lock down" means. And how many worthwhile destinations there are within that sector. If there's only a handful, it drastically reduces the number of places you need to care about, and thus reduces the number of lanes to those places. Space is infinite and all, but a black hole or nebula would put a crimp in your travel plans.
And also: the whole idea of a sector governor in the first place is to keep order in that sector. If said governor is suddenly freed from needing to send resources to the central government, they can (short term) expect a nice bump in available resources with which to lock down their area. Long term being isolated from the rest of the galactic economy would be a giant problem, though.

Wouldn't that be a twist. Vader turns ahsoka and she becomes starkiller, who eventually rejoins the rebels.

She helped found the rebellion. She basically serves as a mission control and emergency contact for the cells from what I've seen. If she starts beating Vader with ease routinely I'll be upset. Hell if she ends up as commanding general of the Alliance Army or Starfighter Corps, or commanding admiral of the Alliance fleet pre-Ackbar I'll be upset but so far I have no problems with her current role in things.

I think the days of Jedi generals are over with the conclusion of the Clone Wars.
Jedi advisors, staff officers, and NCOs? Sure. I just don't see the rebels being comfortable with Jedi leading anything more than a strike team (Luke effectively lost command of his squadron around the same time as he began his training on Dagobah - could be because he went AWOL and suffered a punitive demotion - perhaps even being ejected from Rogue Squadron entirely - or it could be that the rebels don't want Jedi in positions of leadership, either because they genuinely do not trust the Jedi or for more political reasons, because most of the rest of the galaxy doesn't (e.g.: I don't trust Jedi, the rebels are led by Jedi, therefore I do not trust the rebels)).
I wouldn't mind Jedi earning flag rank like Luke did in Legends but yeah just handing them flag rank due to them being a Jedi was crazy. At least when they handed Lando flag rank it was because of him leading forces in combat (Well at least until whoever decided the Legends Battle of Tanaab should be Home Alone in space came along at least.)
Lando has also been a planetary governor and held (in exile) the noble rank of baron. (And, historically, nobles get to start at higher military ranks than persons of common birth. Of course, nobles were supposed to already have had a degree of practical and theoretical military training before they even began their own military careers and to have come up surrounded by military men.)
In any case, I don't think Jedi
should
be general officers or members of the admiralty. Such tasks should be left to military men (and women and other genders) with military training and military minds largely unhindered by the philosophical pinnings of the Jedi Order (not to say that they shouldn't be well educated and cultured - merely that they should not approach military matters from the stand-point of one who has been trained for non-violence and pacifism and does not suffer in the same way from the moral quandaries war inevitably invites - from attachment to their troops to the necessity of fighting in certain places in certain ways).
Jedi absolutely
should
serve as advisors and bodyguards to both civilian and military leadership, as liaisons between military and civil authority, as diplomats, investigators, &c. They should not lead, they should serve. They are not the people who command armies in battle or assert civil authority. They are, or should be, as the Force: Surrounding and binding military and civil authority together, easing tensions between disparate peoples, solving and resolving mysteries and crimes, uplifting the downtrodden, &c.

Nah, because of how they have described legends its all canon till contradicted and even then its only the fine detales that are not canon. Legends = 2ndary canon type 1 or A. What you describing is type 2 or B.

They were never made non-canon. The only thins non-canon are the dlc for Old republic and this up in coming Battlefront because it has no story.

She didn't create the Rebel Alliance, she helped create a Rebel cell. Clone 1138 created the Rebel Alliance or at the least influenced its creation.
