Hey community,

I'm new to the site and x wing have been playing for just over a month, but have about 16 years under my belt with 40K... Don't hate me, GW sucks but still love the game.

Any way I want some feedback on this list plz, not hitting the overly competitive part of x wing yet just enjoying the game a hell of a lot.

A-wing - Jake Farrell, A-wing Test Pilot, Adrenaline Rush, Autothrusters, Chardaan Refit, Push the Limit [28]

B-wing - Keyan Farlander, Advanced Sensors, B-wing/E2, Intelligence Agent, Stay on Target [36]

Z-95 Headhunter - Tala Squadron Pilot, Cluster Missiles [17]

I've had 1 game so far with the list, Jake and Keyan are boss as, and I like the missiles on the Z one dropped a Interceptor with 2 hits and 3 crits so I had some good rolls seeming I couldn't modified my dice, Jake is super manuverable and keyan hits like a... you guys know

But I'd most likely drop the 2 Z's for something ?

You could replace the Talas with Prototype A-wings with Chardaan Refit + AutoThrusters (17).

They're faster and have a better dial + boost. They're great little blockers and they even have some turret protection thanks to Autothrusters.

You might also want to consider swapping Adrenaline Rush for Veteran Instincts to bump Jake up to PS9.

My favorite A Wing set up is Tycho with PTL Title Refit and Expert Handling, so he has a Barrel Roll too, and ignores stress all together thanks to his ability it would only limit the movement dial

Zs are really, really good squad filler material, but trust us when we say that ordinance just isn't worth it. Do what Reddave suggested instead.

I second the suggestion to switch adrenaline rush to veteran instincts on Jake. I'd prefer outmanoeuvre on him though, but both are useful.

With regards to a filler ship, you really only need one blocker. Prototype pilot w/ chardaan refit at 15 pts is superior to a z-95 in dial, survivability and at PS1 is a better blocker. I wouldn't bother with autothrusters on him since he's not going to be targeted first, especially with an evade token (which you should be taking most of the time).

That leaves you 19 points. You could take a naked y-wing or a Green Squadron with Lone Wolf and use him as a flanker, but it might be better to find the points to add another b-wing...
