I really don't get all the hate for the Gunboat. Really, if you want ugly, look at the H-wing...

I always liked the Gunboat, it made sense as a fighter and I liked the looks.

Handled well enough too, and wasn't a mary sue like the Avenger, Defender and Missile Boat.

Clawcraft are a long way off. They don't show up until 20 years after RotJ. I expect to see a lot of other ships make appearances before them.

THEY WERE CREATED BY CHISS TECHNICIANS WORKING IN CONJUCTION WITH THE EMPIREseriously guys, look up the ship before you make stupid excuses for it to not be in the game. And even if that isn't enough, it appears in 18 ABY 1 year before the K-wing!/rant

Perhaps you should t freak out so much, and say people should read when that info is by necessarily valid until it appears in a canon source. The chiss might end up being members of the republic before the empire. Their fate is up in the air.

I'll also add that later games did in all fairness rebalance the Avenger.

Maybe the Clawcraft never existed, depending on what canon get's wiped out.

Sod it, Rebels can have a heavy Y-wing with 4 nacelles. (Their equiv of the Eggbox).

I believe the M-Wing is what you're looking for.

Or how about, instead of extra nacelles, an extra cockpit. Enjoy the H-Wing.

T-wing

V-wing

Wild Karde

Punishing one

Mist hunter

Stinger

Skipray Blastboat

Star jewel (Jabbas yatch)

Cloakshape fighter

That should do nicely to round out Scum and give lots of variety.
