Summer 2015 Armada Tournament Kit

By Meynolt, in Star Wars: Armada

X-Wing was announced, but no Armada and no IA? Did I miss something?

Hrrrrrng. Those AF2s look so purdy. Sadly, I'm not sure anyway in Seattle will be doing tourneys....

The store I play at does casual Armada games every Thursday. There is a $6 entry fee, but you get something from the spring kit every time you show up. If you attend multiple weeks, you get more stuff. I have 2 Rebel dice bags, 8 Nebulon B Escort Frigate alternate art cards (I've started giving them to friends that play), a set of acrylic concentrate fire tokens, and the VSD II alternate art card.

We have already gone through the spring kit once, so hopefully we can start up with the summer one soon.

We get anywhere from 2-6 players regularly.

That sounds amazing, and much more my speed. Didn't even know I missed out on a spring kit. I'd check ebay for those, but, uh, I'm sure its prohibitive. :) WOnder if I could coax some place around me to do that.

Oh my, when and where? Portland is a great trip.

To get a little more specific, my store gives you the same thing every week for showing up (spring was the Neb B card, summer looks to be the TIE Fighter card). If you come for 4 of the 8 weeks, you got the VSD II card (AF Mk II for summer kit). Every week they do a random drawing for the dice bag, excluding everyone who already has one unless everyone there that week already has one (which is how I got 2). And then for showing up 8 weeks you got the acrylic tokens.
