My store is heavily lagging behind in tournaments. (So much, that I'm now organizing tournaments.

In June we will be having "2014 summer kit", I understood, that there are no medals in this kit.
Edited by asmeusIt's weird . . . I feel like, in general, FFG's Star Wars art is top notch; but in this game in particular (and even in more-recent releases in particular) they've let some sloppy ones through. I definitely don't like the Dash alt art, or the giant computer-generated Blount poster (or the Blackmoon Squadron Pilot or Airen Cracken or the Avenger Squadron Pilot).

It was a Tie Fighter medal. This link shows all the promos to date.

Awesome news for me!
Anyone know what is needed to order the kits? Our local hobby store only bought one spring kit, even though there are at least 4 (usually 5, rarely 6) of us for every weekly game night. (My understanding is the kit is $20, $5/person, 4 people = he breaks even.)
My wife has a business, although not related to gaming/retail, would she be able to order these? Would they even consider doing such small volume? Just curious.
Pretty certain you need an account with FFG. Not sure what the requirements are, but I don't think they will let any business order them.

You know the idea isn't that every single player gets a whole kit, right? The store gets the kit. Participants get the (most numerous) prizes, then the top eight get the (rarer) prizes, then the top four get the rarer, then the finalists get something, then the winner gets something special.
Why would your local store need more than one kit for 4-5-6 players?
im not feeling it. this kit is rather meh... the FFG acrylic evades i currently have are even better than those.
Odd choice of art, considering the other art of Dash that they have.
Either one looks good to me, why couldn't they have been used for X-Wing? I have no clue.
that top card art is awesome. thats the one they should have used for sure.

I was psyched about everything in the spring tourney kit, then my FLGS didn't order one.
The summer one's still something I want to do (gotta see if I can keep my tournament winning streak alive), but it's definitely a little lackluster compared to the other kits I've seen so far.

yeah, totally agree. Lackluster. at least recon specialist is a crew card that sees a bit of play. i hate it when they print alt arc cards that none plays. stuff id love to see in future kits is:
I'm actually really looking forward to the Summer kits!
If you take a look at the acrylic promos from previous seasonal kits...
Evade tokens are going to see more use than any of those, except the range rulers!
Sure, the few people who made top 16 at 2014 regionals already have some, but for the rest of us the evade tokens are really nice!
I agree that they could've found some better artwork for the Dash alt-art though...
And I would've preferred a Scum alt-art. Poor scum...

Except if you play Rebels, then you'll only use evade tokens if you're flying an A-wing or E-wing or YT1300 with Falcon title.
For me, it's just that I use Push the Limit a whole lot more than I do RecSpec, and I would've loved to've gotten those Imperial cards. Likewise, I love the Rogue Squadron comics/books/stories, so art of Tycho is badass (whereas art of Dash is...just Dash).
It's not that the Summer stuff is bad or anything, it's just stuff I'm less interested in, personally.

They should have used this one. It's Paul Walker.
