Anyone in the dayton, miamisburg, moraine, westcarrollton, kettering area up for some easy build test play?

Casual tournaments on the first and third Saturdays of the month at Epic Loot in Centerville Ohio. Sometimes people show up for pickup games around 6ish on Tuesdays nights at Epic Loot. Best way to learn about those is come to the tournaments and ask around.

Tournaments are free. Very friendly crowd. Store kits as prizes.

Hi, I'm in Dayton also. I think I'd like to get X-Wing and start playing but I've never played any board games beyond like Monopoly or Clue and don't know anyone that does.

Is it pretty noob friendly at epic loot? Will I be able to get into the game without plunking down to much cash at first?
I was thinking I would get one base game at first and probably both aces expansions.

Would that be enough to field a reasonable squad to start with?

Well I went ahead and bought the core pack at epic loot and ordered both aces packs online. Hoping to play my first game at there next tournament on August 1st.

I'd love to get some games in before than so if anyone is willing to help me learn the game before than, let me know.

Are the Tuesday night games at Epic still going on? I'll be down that way next week and wouldn't mind stopping in for a game or 2.
