Hi!
Just bought the conversion kit and it cames with extra cards, promo and dungeon quest heroes, wich I don't have. Is it still possible to get the figures directly from FFG?
What's the easiest way?
Thanks in advance!

The conversion kit is not designed to provide figures- it was developed specifically for people who already had the figures and wanted to use them with D2E. Some people have decided to use the CK with proxie miniatures, but this was not its intention. As a result, there is no way to get the figures directly from FFG.
It is possible that these heroes will be released in future hero and monster packs- though I don't believe anything has been announced beyond Bonds of the Wild, so there's no confirmation that such a pack will ever be released. However, if that were to occur, they would have new cards anyway.
The easiest/only way you're going to get those figures is to purchase them secondhand, likely from ebay.

I see. I'm aware that this is just the about the cards (otherwise would be very very expensive, lol). I was afraid about the figures are out of print, like you said. Guess I´ll get a look on e-bay again, then. The prices I saw at first view are very abusive in my opinion
I'm not up on what is and is not out of print, but I'm pretty sure that all of those heroes are. A few of the CK heroes are available in Runewars, but I don't think that includes the promo ones. I solve this problem by not using the CK anymore- used to use the runewars heroes I had (since that's about 20 of them) but since FFG started releasing the hero and monster packs, I've permanently retired my CK.
Edited by ZaltyreWell, maybe in the future I'll get all the hero and monster collections, to get ride of my CK too. But just maybe, and only if they release all the figures, what's not yet happening.
Thanks for your replies
Edited by leewroySome of the promo/DQ ones have already been released as H&M packs. Not in the mood to figure out which all ones but Lindel and Fang are two that I can recall off the top of my head.
Brother Gherinn was, too, I believe.
Ya, this is why unless you have the 1e, there are better options to expand 2nd Edition with then the CK.
I agree, although I don't think the CK was really meant to expand 2E to the general market, but more to allow 1E owners to more easily port their stuff over, kind of a bone for them/us.
I wouldn't recommend the CK for most gamers unless they wanted to proxy their own minis (in which case it's a far cheaper option than the H&M packs!)

That's my first thought. The hero & monster collections are on the bottom of my wishlist for now
I would say at least get one H&M though. Reason being- 4 Heroes, 3 Monster Groups, 2 Rumor Quests... they do add some pretty good options.
If you do your research, you'll find that not every hero in the library is worth chasing down. Some heroes have a power that is functionally identical to the starting gear for some of the classes. I found an example the other day, but I can't remember it offhand.

That itself may not be a reason to avoid the hero, but maybe just to avoid that particular hero/class combo.
And on the other hand, some heroes make better synergy with some classes. Laughin Buldar, for instance, could be a great Skirmisher. Most one-handed weapons are a little weaker than two-handed ones, and Skirmisher offets this by allowing some cool dual-wielding combos. This gets even better with Laughin, though, since he can wield a single two-handed weapon as a one-handed weapon, which means his dual-wielding abilities can get pretty mean

The DQ heroes are still available in DQ. The revised edition still uses the original minis. Although, as some have already pointed out, a few of those figs have already been remade in the H&M packs as well. The promo figs are not generally available (that I'm aware of,) but they are perennial favourites that turn up every now and then as part of special sales on FFG's site, so keep your eyes peeled.

Understood. Thanks a lot for the tip.
