I think I would turn to Chaos, irrevocably mad.
What if RT gets delayed to November? What about *GASP* December?!
I just talked to my FLGS owner & many many people have been calling him, asking him where & when this is hitting. He has no clue & is just as frustrated as everyone else. He would love to give his customer some sort of idea when.
DH was outselling White Wolf games in his store for crying out loud!
Yeah, all this super quietness is making me fear that we might have to wait for a November release... I really hope not but...
i'd be disappointed by the extra long wait, and would hope that FFG staff learned an important lesson for the next time they plan a big release that fans are axious to see on the store shelves.
Usually, the lesson is don't give a firm release date.
For PC games, the company most infamous for doing this sort of thing is Blizzard, so I guess there's no real correlation between release date accuracy and success
We are not amused...
IF Rogue Trader is held off to November or December, I'm cancelling my pre-order. I really wanted to run the game because I fancied a break from my usual nWoD games, plus I've just moved to London and wanted to get a gaming group together with something a bit different. Now, given the absolute lack of communication from FFG about the issue of the release date - a matter which I think reveals little more than cynical contempt towards the customer base on the part of FFG - I'm going to turn back to the tried and true nWoD for my gaming needs. Hell, I got Geist: the Sin Eaters for my birthday at the end of August, you know, about the time when RT was supposed to have been 'released'.
Im really disappointed too. I really lookin forward for the CE but i'll omly wait for another perhaps 3 weeks then ill cancel too. It's just inaccaptable who FFG is teating their customers.
and for Blizzard... Blizz doens't give any release dates, just saying its done when its done.
if it is pushed back, many people will not see it till new year, have you tried ordering a book in december in the U.K, good luck with that.
as for FFG, pull you f**k**g gingers out and earn some of the respect we as PAYING fans are at the moment supposed to give you.
lol make that fingers. I have no idea what a ginger is lol oh and would an edit button kill you, Hmm? HMM?
I completely agree Streamdriven.

The Edit button is above your message in that grey strip. It's kind of hard to see, but it's there.

Which is like fingers across a chalk board everytime I hear it.

1: Ginger is a tuber which is quite popular in Asian cuisine. It makes an excellent spice for chicken and goes quite well with sushi as well. It is also a moderately popular female familiar name, though it's not as popular today as it was fifty or so years ago when it experienced a surge in popularity thanks to silver-screen actriss, Ginger Rogers.
2: The edit button, as described above, will appear at the top of the message you had posted, written in small gray letters in the upper right side of the subject bar. It will only remain there for about 5 minuets if you leave the message and then come back, but as long as you don't refresh the window and leave it on the message, you should be able to edit it at any time by clicking the word "edit".
If RT is deleayed until December it becomes a Christmas Gift
Yes December be good as, i will get someone else to buy it for me too!
Problem is if its released before then, ill have to pay as i wont be able to wait:(
Please hold it untill december!!! THANKS
The qq over when this is getting in your grubby paws is astounding. Take a deep breath and chill. The concern trolling adds no value to the game or to the community.

I want the game I want the game I want the gaaame!
What... you mean that?
I start to think that Blizzard will release Starcraft 2 before we can hold RT in our hands... I just hope its gonna be this year...
Here is what i think is the root of the issue....
The book is finished! Printed! Done!
People at GenCon got it. People at GenCon Oz got it. No one is working on it anymore.
The word is frustration, pure & simple. A word from FFG would help, seriously. There are many other game companies who post things like "at the printers. On the boat. In our hands. Going to distributors next week" etc. I've seen this. I think this is all people want. Not promises or hard dates - just news. Just a word.
Sometimes bad news can be better than NO news.

No, Dear Veruca, you cannot have the oompa-loompa now.
See it is this easy...
In the news section about the new DH sourcebook, the author states the following:
"I have some exciting news about The Radical’s Handbook , the next sourcebook for Dark Heresy ...the book is at the printer as we speak!"
Now that is the way to do it. News, information, something.
Please RT folks, take note.
The best place for info on the status of the book is the Upcoming button up on the menu. It clearly shows that the RT rulebook is 'on the boat.' It also indicates on that page that 'on the boat' means it take about a month to reach distribution, although I'm sure that could take more or less time depending on the where it comes from, how many other countries the boat has to stop off at on the way, and how quickly the boat moves.
I'm not really sure what anyone at FFG can add to that. I mean, it's not like they have a GPS tracking system for the boat and can tell us 'hey it's at X Longitude and Y Latitude going at Z knots so it will be here at 3.31pm on the 6th of October.' And even if they could, the boat could be delayed in customs, have to change course to avoid major weather or get hit by pirates looking to hold the RPG world to ransom.
So, there really is nothing the folks at FFG can tell you other than 'It'll be here soon' which they probably shouldn't because they'll likely get ripped a new one for being less than informative...
Holy crap - I see where you are talking about now with the "on the boat" status in the menus of the online store.
I have to admit i have been an idiot. i did not see this & it looks to me that FFG gives more info about their upcoming products than most game company. I stand corrected.
Here's me not saying another word about it & the time has come to chill
