Precision Strike Objective Clarification

By JJs Juggernaut, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

Hello all, I just played two games with Precision Strike as the objective, this allows you (ships or squadrons with bomber) to spend a die with a damage symbol to flip one face down damage card face up. You get a victory token worth 15 points each time you do a damage card face up. I believe this is the gist of the car, but the exact wording (which matters) may be off.

My question is can you resolve this effect multiple times? It seems like it would be overpowered, and I've currently been playing that you can't. Further questions that would arise from this would be:

Do you need to spend and flip up the cards at the same time or individually? This is important since some damage cards flip themselves facedown again (I'm looking at you structural damage!)

If you do them individually, can you then flip over the same card that just went back facedown?

Thanks for any help!

The way I read it you get to spend 1 damage per attack to flip over 1 damage card.

It specifies that you can spend 1 die to flip a card. If you could do it multiple times it would be phrased something like "you may spend dice to flip cards, for each die with a hit symbol you may flip one card...blah blah"

Yes, I believe you are right, I looked this up from the RRG and it says

A “when” effect occurs at the moment that the specified
event occurs and cannot occur again for that instance of
the event.

And since Precision Strike says when a squadron with bomber or a ships is attacking...you can't use the effect again the same instance (in this case an attack). Thanks for the thoughts, just making sure I was clear on that one.
