This is probably a silly question but could someone give me an example on how Flight Controllers works exactly?
Flight Controllers
It can only trigger when the ship it is on executes a squadron command to activate some fighters.
When it does, each of those squadrons get an extra blue die when attacking other squadrons.
Assuming I am thinking of the correct card here.

Here's my favorite example of how several things can work together, including Flight Controllers.
My VSD reveals a Squadron command dial, has Expanded Hangers and Flight Controllers, and a Squadron command token.
- I spend the dial and token to activate up to 5 squadrons (we'll assume all are within range)
-
I activate Howlrunner, move her to engage a blob of X-wings.
Howlrunner attacks with 3 dice base, plus 1 for Flight Controllers -
I activate Soontir Fel, move him to engage X-wings right next to Howlrunner
He attacks with 4 dice base, plus 1 for Flight Controllers, plus another for Howlrunner with a reroll from Swarm. 6 blue dice and a reroll. - Continue to activate squadrons (mostly interceptors) using bonuses as above.
It's a wicked combo to use against rebel squadrons though it costs a bit and can be fragile if you're not careful.
I have used something similar to Terghon,
Push all of the Rebel squadron upgrades into a Gallant Heaven,
Activate 4 B-Wing squads, each one of them uses 4 Blue dice as opposed to 3, then with Adar Talon I swap one of them back to inactivated
Then yavaris activates 3 B-Wings, none of them get the bonus Blue die because they were activated by a different ship,

Does it only activate with a squadron command or a squadron token as well?

One things is the command and another things are the dials and token. It doesn't matter what you spend (a dial, a token or both) at the end you are resolving a squadron command.
Flight controllers triggers whenever you resolve a squadron command. It doesn't care if you resolve it through a dial or a token.
Great to hear, wanted to make sure - thanks!

This sounds like a man trying to get a Flight controller "Liberty" MC80L to work?

This is a good post, to be clear, most cards that have the Command symbol (Squad, Nav, Repair, etc.) can be activated using a Command DIAL or a Command Token. Flight Controllers is one of them. Engine Techs is another. So imagine a Liberty reveals a Concentrate Fire, but also has a banked Squad token. It's allowed to activate 2 squadrons via a token, and Flight Controllers will affect those two squads.
Some cards or upgrades (Madine for example), will specify what happens when a Dial or a Token is spent - but the command symbols in cards with no other restrictive text can be used with a dial or token.

FTFY.
"RRG pg 5 EFFECT USE AND TIMING":
Edited by ArdaedhelQuoteEffects with a command icon as a header, such as “
:,” can be resolved once while the ship is resolving the matching command.

I am missing something, how does a liberty class activate two squadrons via a token? Last I checked a token only lets you activate one squadron. So what am I missing?

OK, So not a Liberty class, but THE Liberty, thank you.
Errr.... Nope nothing to see here.....

1 to 2 (token) or 2 to 4 (squad dial + token) - it's why people try so HARD (myself included) to make a Liberty Flight Controllers Carrier work...and...well....there are reasons it doesn't pop up that often.
Leia + Liberty + FC makes it interesting, but all in all it would be far better if the liberty wasn't as easy to pop as it is and Rebels didn't have better cheap FC carrier options (IE the Assault Frig.)
