I started my Battlelore Painting project around August 1. Decided to start off with the Blue Human Infantry since there are so many of them. Here are a is a sample of them just before using the dip method on them and the matte finish.
I will post some final results here when I get them online. Open for feedback and how I can do better for my next units.

They look great. Do you varnish them when you are done to protect your paint job?
Well I used the dip method, so after painting (right after this picture) I brushed on some Antique Walnut Polyshades from Minwax. It is a wood stain plus Polyurethane that works like a gloss sealant. After that I put two coats of matte varnish on the figures. They turned out nice. Will get some more pics up in the next day or so.
That is very cool. How long do you find it takes to paint each figure? So far, I've painted Descent, two of its expansions and I've started the Conan game. I find each figure takes me roughly 30 minutes.
I am doing it assembly line so I don't know exactly. For instance I paint all of one color, then the next until it is done. Finally put a little of each color and touch up all units.

Can I ask how you primed the banner and the banner poles without frakking up the stickers?
Didn't prime them, but did put two coats of Sealant on them, right over the stickers.

I just bought a copy of BattleLore and I'm thinking of starting to paint them too. I've never done anything like it, so could you give me some pointers ? I wouldn't want to mess them up. Or is there a good site where I can go?

Just about done with the base set. I painted based on the banner carriers from the base game. Only ran into a couple times where I have had to swap units from one teams paint scheme to meet requirements of a scenario. Note the different color scheme from English to French units. Used the dip method and Testors Dullcoat to Finish.

Earth Elemental - Did not use Testor's Dullcoat on this unit to give that glossy look common to lava rock near newly formed volcanoes.
Great job Lothiam thank you for the pictures. I have been thinking about painting my set for awhile now. These pictures make me want to get started.
That is crazy...after all that time and effort I would be too afraid to even play with them... I'd store them and buy another game to play lol
Ok these pics are really making me jealous. I'm going to have to dust off my paints and get started now.
They are really resiliant to handling once they have been painted. I use Minwax Polyshades Antique Walnut stain to dip. Then put on Testors Dullcoat to finish. Have had 0 issues with chipping.
