Had all my pieces out and thought of a way to use them all without taking up the entire dining room. I currently have 2 core sets, 1 VSD, 2 GSD, 2 Imp fighter packs, 1 CR90, 1 Neb-B, 1 Assault Frigate, and 2 Rebel fighter packs. The dining room table is 5'x5'. The whole table is the battle, and used a card table for the cards.
So I came up with the following:
Empire controls a space station in the center of the map. The station is guarded by 1 GSD-II and 7 squadrons. Coming to attack are 2 CR-90A and 4 squadrons. These squads fight it out until turn 5 where a VSD with squadron support, Assault Frig. and CR-90 with rebel squadron support jump in. I use a 4 sided die to determine which side each capital ship enters. Squadrons are distributed between capital ships.
Turn 7, VSD, GSD, imp squadrons, 3 Neb-B and rebel squadrons appear, using the same 4 sided die to determine point of entry.
Turn 10, VSD, CR-90A, and remaining fighters enter.
The mission is the rebels need to destroy the base. The base has a hull value of 20, anti-squadron value of 1 blue die, and anti-ship of one black die, all range 1.
Will be finishing tonight, but so far in Turn 7 it is a blast.
