How or Where to find "Relics" and Treasure from Old PC Games

By MorbidDon, in Rogue Trader Gamemasters

Basically I'm looking for some direction on how to go about finding old PC Game branded "treasures" from DOW to Spacehulk Deathwing - is there a list out there somewhere that anyone knows of (like a wiki page)?

Things like; Blessed Power Armor or a Battle Standard and the like...

Granted I know the source book Stars of Inequity has a "treasure generator" on Page-83 - just thought there might be more "stuff" out there not covered in this section of the source materials.

I'd point out, though, that Deathwatch gear has different damage values than RT. The Deathwatch books tells us this is because it's made for much larger humans, with much larger muscles, and reinforced frames, etc.

I totally understand the scaling up of DW and BC... I try to limit exposure that that "tier" as much as possible...

I will start compiling my notes from the link you shared Errant - Thank You!

It might be fun, if you have access to them, to look through some of the 40k codicies, and peruse their various by army relics. I know that, somehow, many people here have little to do with that fun, but SPENDY game, but I can think of a few relics in IG, maybe Eldar and Skitarii, that could be cool finds.

Otherwise, Hostile Acquisitions has some cool ones, in the back, and you might use those to inspire some. Lure and Warpstorm also let you find some cool loot along the way, and those might give you some paths to follow, then turn, and adapt to your needs. I like some of the bits you can buy in the DoW games I've played, and they might make some cool little relics.

Honor thy chapter for deathwatch has a massive relic section in it, while most are astartes weapons and too big for normal humans, there are a lot of things in there that could serve as inspiration, my personal favorite being a jump pack designed for devastator marines.

Jump pack las cannon. What ever could go wrong.
