Object hardness?

Nope.
I would figure that it's be a judgement call on the GM - someone punching through a door would be one purple. Someone punching through the bulkhead of a submarine would be at least five purples (and I'd probably upgrade one to a red, because I'm a **** that way)
Perhaps something like this:
Drywall - 1 Purple
Plywood - 2 Purples
Cement block - 3 Purples
Reinforced concrete - 4 Purples
Steel - 5 Purples
Reactor wall - 5 Purples with 1 red
Your call I would think, unless a module tells you something about a specific location like a cell block, or you make a SWAG for say a ship or vehicle.
Depends on what you're using to put the hurt on the object. If the Sunder rules don't quite fit the situation, then assigning a Wound Threshold and Soak (or Hull & Armour as the case may be) would probably also work. So drywall has a WT of 2 and a Soak of 1 (meaning little kids have a harder time punching through it), but an oak door might have a WT of 10 and a Soak of 5.

I disagree. Drywall is harder than that. IMO, it’s a Hard check — 3 purples. If you’re a Wookiee with Brawn 5, then it is unlikely to be a problem. Otherwise, it’s going to be a fair challenge.
And plywood is much harder than that — 4 or 5 purples.
Overall, I think I’d maybe double these numbers.
Regarding the destruction of objects by repeatedly dealing damage, I assume blast doors having an Armour rating and a regular sliding metal door something like Soak 2 to 4 (really heavy body armour). Then, I will allot an object a Wound threshold of about 10 x Silhouette (5 for Silhouette 0), Hull of 2 to 4 x Silhouette resp.
To break through with a single check, I suppose half the Soak as difficulty might fit well; breaking through Armour is definitely an impossible task.
It has been working out fine, so far.
Great! Thanks for the replies everyone!

Hey, I'm just going by what I see in movies, where characters blow through bog standards walls all the time.
As to the plywood, depends on the circumstances. I was at a fair once and I had an opportunity once to Kung Fu through a chunk of plywood once, and I successfully made it despite having no yellows or all that many greens on my side (although I did have a blue from the Kung Fu master helping me).

I’ve broken more than a few boards in my time. Plywood is particularly difficult to break, because the grain of one layer of the wood is perpendicular to the grain of the layer below that. Breaking boards depends on there being only one direction to the grain of the wood, and being able to hit it with enough force in a manner that aligns with the grain and causes the board to split. This is why they use plywood as a roofing and flooring material, because it is so sturdy and dimensionally stable for the cost of the materials.
I’ve also broken through drywall before. Again, it is surprisingly difficult to do. Feel free to go punch a wall sometime, but you might want to check with the owners first to see how much damage they’re willing to let you do.
If you’re Refrigerator Perry or Bruce Lee, then neither plywood nor drywall will pose much of a challenge to you. But concrete blocks will be more difficult.
And there’s no way in hell that any human being is going to break through a reactor wall without some very heavy duty weapons or tools. No matter how strong you are and how skilled you are, a reactor wall is just too tough. Hit it with a large forklift or tractor, and you might have some success. But those things are literally built to be pretty much bomb-proof, so you’ve got to work pretty hard to break through them.
