Looking for great combos!

Ok so simple question. R4 lets you get a target lock when you spend a focus token. Blaster turret needs a focus spent to fire it. So in my head this is plausible.

Spend focus to fire blaster

R4 allows a TL to be gained

roll for attack

use new TL to modify attack dice.

Is this allowed? Or will I need to wait until next turn to use that TL ?

Yes you may use the target lock on that attack.

You could even fire your normal gun, roll your dice and then spend the focus to change 0-3 focus results (assuming Y-wing possibly at R1 or firing an ion turret) This would give you a target lock which you could immediately use to reroll any dice in that attack or save for a subsequent attack.

Wow, pretty powerful for 2 points. Too bad Scum doesn't have any other ships besides the Y that can use it. Wave 7 doesn't even look like more ships with that available upgrade *sigh* oh well. Might be a neat title card for an existing ship maybe.

It's definitely allowed.

You might also consider using a HWK with Recon Spec + Moldy Crow with a Blaster Turret.

Oh yeah that massive bank of focus you can get on a Moldy Crow is pretty spectacular. I think I have a list that uses that combo on Palob using Bodyguard. Boost a higher PS ship and blast at things while stealing focus sounds like good times me to me Makes him a huge target but meh, the HWK has a decent amount of health and can always save some focus for def

I like Palob with Opportunist

I'm running out of good reasons not to include Opportunist on at least one ship per build :S
