Does the new ffg tournament software pair people who use store championship byes against each other round 2? E.g. all people who have 200 MoV and 5 match points.
Round 2 Regional Pairing
Does the new ffg tournament software pair people who use store championship byes against each other round 2? E.g. all people who have 200 MoV and 5 match points.
Due to the way pairings work, it is highly likely that the players with byes get paired, especially if you have a lot of Store Champions. For example, in Atlanta, we have over ten Store Champions attending this weekend, and we were tlaking about this at our game night yesterday. In the second round it would be highly unusual for Store Champions to not play eachother unless a significant number of the first round winners also got perfect MOV. Even in that case, the Byes give you 5 Strength of Schedule Points, but after Round 1, any winner's SoS is 0, because their only opponent thus far has lost a game.
So the simple answer is yes they will probably play eachother.
Edited by Engine25I'm not sure if I was the exception, but I attended the Austin regional and I didn't have a bye, yet I got paired with against a player with a SC bye in the 2nd round. And yes, I had a perfect MoV from my first round game.
Where can you download FFG tournament software?
It's in beta right now

The event software no longer calculates SoS in the manner the event rules or kit inserts detail. Super Byes no longer enjoy the enhanced SoS.

So the FFG software doesn't implement their own rules correctly, but 3rd party Cryodex, that has been around for a while, does?
And then on top of it, FFG at their Regional decided to do random pairings (vs MoV) within players having the same tournament points, again which does not follow their own tournament rules.
What a weird world we live in.
