Adar Tallon and Yavaris

By SmogLord, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

If you have Adar Tallon on the Yavaris, could you attack with the same squadron 4 times? By this I mean activate a squadron using a squadron command, attack twice using Yavaris, then use Tallon to flip the squadrons activation marker and then use another squadron command to activate the same fighter with Yavaris to attack twice again? This could be really nasty with Wedge and/or Dutch.

Edit: Now that I think about it, Tallon's wording states that he can only be used after you resolve a squadron command, so I think I would have to activate all my squadrons using my command first, and then I could toggle the activation slider back to the unactivated side. So, if that is the case he could not use the Yavaris bonus twice, but he could use it once and then attack again during the fighter phase. Does that make sense?

No, because you can't activate the same squadron twice with a single command. Adar lets you toggle the activation slider after the Squadron command has been completed.

So for the duration of the squadron command, the ship in question has been activated. But you can attack 3 times that way.

What I've seen happen is people activate a B-Wing with the Gallant Haven and attack a ship. Then Adar Tallon is used. Next the same B-wing is activated with the Yarvis, so It can attack twice. This allows the ship to move into position, then attack three times.

I hadn't considered using Adar to activate a squadron twice with another squadron command, but it's a good trick to keep in mind.

... since it is not possible, as Adar is resolved after the ship he's on has already finished it's squadron command phase.

It absolutely is. Just not from the same ship.
