Possibilities for upgrades using two slots.

Palpatine has shown us that FFG isn't afraid to make an upgrade card that will fill multiple slots on a ship. Now putting aside the arguments about what that means what else do you think would make a worthy two, or possibly even more, slot upgrade?

I have liked the idea of a non-discarding missile or torpedo that could fill two slots. Having other weapons that fill multiple slots seems very possible.

When it comes to what the multiple upgrades mean I suspect that the symbol will reflect type and that an upgrade could have multiple types and get treated as all of those types simultaneously. Two crew icons is still just a crew. Have a crew and system icon the upgrade is now both types at the same time.

I wouldn't be surprised if a cannon that takes two slots drops in the next couple of waves.

I'm thinking Yoda and other Jedi or Sith too. Yoda could mirror Palpatine, but have his rolls affect the enemy only. That way he could undo what palp does? or vice versa

I could even see jabba or some other big wigs.

That would mean the only ship that can take it is the aggressor. That's less than awesome.

I was thinking this as well. A cannon slot and a missile slot = very big missile launchers.

The easiest one to do two different slots with is have it take up a slot the ship has and then its Mod slot.

So Mod and Sensor, Mod and Cannon etc etc.

Missile/cannon upgrade for Tie Defender:

Linked cannons: attack 3, range 2-3, if hits then damage as usual and one ion token. Cost 5?

That would be cooler if it worked on destroying the ship Jabba's ship had target locked. So, Jabba places a bounty (target lock) on an enemy ship and then you get a bonus for killing it. It would make it predictable who your target was, which is also interesting.

I think there would be a good argument for Jabba taking up two crew slots. He's yet another reason that the Star Jewel should be the scum epic ship.

I feel like Yoda should not be in this game since he was on Dagobah during the Rebellion. Obi-Wan crew would make more sense. I don't know what his ability would be but it should get more powerful than you can possibly imagine after he gets discarded.

As opposed to Vader-tier, or Skywalker-tier.

I don't know if there are any other upgrades we could add to the game to hold that kind of legacy.

I too was really hoping to see IG with a dual-cannon dueling cannon. Is that canon though? :P

If we're only working with doubletons, the next most plentiful is 2x Torpedo, followed by ties of 2x Modification, 2x Cannon, 2x Missile, and 2x Elite Talent.

If we're talking mixtures....

Admiral Ackbar (crew) (crew): After all side have deployed, you may redeploy any number of friendly ships.

(team) (team): All friendly ships treat their PS as +1 higher while they have acquired a target lock.

Something that takes up two Missile slots would be cool. It would be something like, "Barrage Missile Battery" and would have like 6 ordnance tokens on it, which you could spend up to 2, maybe 3 of every combat phase to attack 2-3 times if you wanted. Stats would be range 2-3, Target lock required as a prerequisite but you're not required to spend it, 3 attack but with a free reroll on a blank.

He couldn't. "That die result cannot be modified again"

Ben Kenobi's upgrade card could be a crew slot, but if equipped with luke or on a ship with like crew it could not require a crew slot.

Bombs missiles and torpedoes are the most common who even have 2 slots on certain ships. I think it will stay rare because the usage is pretty limited.

Double bombs could work on K-wing, Punisher, and Andrasta Firesprays.

Some sort of mini-bomb generator with unlimited ammo would be fun. Could make it deploy a bomblet every turn... not optional. ;)
