Dwarf two-player cooperative thematic decks.

"I was coming over the mountains with a friend or two..." said the

wizard.

"Or two? I can only see one, and a little one at that," said Beorn.

I would like to present my Khazad decks, hope you can have A Very Good Tale with them, or two. Especially constructed for Hobbit saga quests and Dwarrowdelf cycle.

Heroes:

Thorin Dain Nori Ori Bombur Beorn

Build huge army and just rule the battlefield, of course try to keep Dain ready.

Pump Bombur (not with food but attachments ;) ) to make him super-deffender (Brand, Mail, Warning, Preservation)

Use Cram and recycle it with Hammersmith.

Let the giant bear roam a battlefield (also defensive option in first rounds) and give them hell with help of Ori and his toys.

Well-Equipped can be live-saver in frist rounds.

Legacy belongs of course on teh Le/Sp deck.

Le/Sp deck can in many cases stay on the initial threat thanks to Nori.

Keep Lure of Moria for that key moment, its a game-changer.

I try to update all my decks when new content comes up.

Give them a run and all suggestions and comments are welcome.

I tried to be as thematic as possible so no Steward and so on.

Sideboard:

Ever My Heart rises (if you are underground or in the mountains)

more card draw needed? King under the mountain

your pants are falling down? Narvis´s Belt

are you afraid (of too few heroe actions)? Unxpected Courage

Need to kill that first troll? Goblin-Cleaver, Heavy stroke, Unseen strike

"Farewell, good thief," he said. "I go now to the halls of waiting to

sit beside my fathers, until the world is renewed. Since I leave now all

gold and silver, and go where it is of little worth, I wish to part in

friendship from you, and I would take back my words and deeds at the Gate."

Baruk Khazâd! Khazâd ai-mênu! is all I have to say about these post-Khazad Dum/Dwarrowdelf cycle decks! Seriously, it is great to see the Blue Mtn. and Gimli allies in these decks!

Maybe you can comment about your experience playing them here as well. The tips for the sideboard are helpful but a bit more on the quests you've played with them would be good too!

I didnt know you could play this game coop?

You can! And it's well worth it too. The game takes on different qualities depending on the number of players. If you pick up a second core set, you can have up to four players co-op.

So if my wife and I want to play coop, do I need a duplicate set?

No, you can play 2 player coop with just one core set. Don't expect to beat any of the quests other than the first one, because it is a hard game.

Ah man.....

As written in the description I use them againsts Hobbit saga and Dwarrowdelf and Khazad-Dum quests.

In those no problem. Nori is excellent againsts Balrog in last scenario. You should modify them a little for the first Hobbit quest to help you kill the firsts troll (Goblin-Cleaver, Heavy stroke, Unseen strike,...).

When sepparated in the battle with spiders the Dain deck should be the one with all the chracters unconscious. And Beorn cannot be poisoned, which is excellent.

Siege wuesting in Battle of five armies can be hardbut managable, last time I played that scenario I was able to complete the other 2 stages in 3 rounds and than it was a little easier.

Now I am running them against nightmare versions of those scenarios and Khazad-Dum seems very managable, Hobbit saga is 1/2 success rate but did not do the last 2 scenarios.
