Evade token timing

By AzureForge, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

When using an evade token, its effect is resolved immediately. What I'm unsure is if I can see the result of the evade before I decide if I use another token or all token to be used must be selected before the evade resolve.

you would typically want to use it before say brace, that way you can reduce the amount. you would typically, evade, brace, then redirect.

Brace and Redirect don't resolve their effects until the next step. Evade and Scatter resolve when triggered.

They are spent one at a time, you can Evade then choose to spend the next token etc.

You spend the tokens after the roll and after the attacker modifies dice.

So yes, you can see the dice result before you spend any of your defense tokens.

They are all spent and resolved during step 4

Brace is spent at step 4 but its effect occurs during step 5, Resolve Damage:

Brace: When damage is totaled during the “Resolve
Damage” step, the total is reduced to half, rounded up

See Above.

Thanks for the answers. The result of the reroll can impact if I will use other defense tokens. If I receive two damage and the reroll fail to remove one, I may want to use a brace but if the result remove one of the damage. Using the brace would be a waste.
