Does the new COC Core Set reprint have fixed cards?

By Max Wax, in CoC General Discussion

I saw on the FFG upcoming products website, that the COC Core Set is reprinted. I wonder if they fixed decks and printed Steve Clarney as MU and not an Agency Character? Does anybody know if they fixed those things, perhaps some other, with the new CS reprint???

This would likely be the very first Call of Cthulhu Card Game reprint.

I think, at this point, Steve is definetly an Agency char. A corrective reprint would cause much more troubles than it would be worth.

I remember discussion on this forum, just after the first COC CS release, where FFG admited printing Steve as an Agency CH was a mistake.

I have no troubles beleiving FFG made a mistake, nor that it ammitted it (on the other hand I do not think it was a FFG employee posting it on the boards, so...). I just think that the mistake on Steve Clarney has no easy solution: a corrected reprint would be much confusing.

I wouldn't want Anthropoly Advisor to return to his original icons. I see no confusion in Clarney being our first choose-your-faction character. I would be shocked if any change were made, besides unlikely "upgrades" to the kak included.

Hi Max,

The Core Set files were recently reviewed for an international run, and errors like the Brothel and Magister Illyrio were corrected. I believe similar errors in CoC will be addressed for future reprints of that game. Instead of changing the identity of Core Set Steve Clarney, I'm pretty sure the Core Set version of the character is going to remain Agency, and a new version complete with new art and a new ability will be released for Miskatonic in an upcoming expansion.

Great!

Thanks Nate!!

I like that - a new Clarney with new art and ability. That's crafty.
