Keeping track of everything

By AgentJ, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I recently, 8 months ago, really got into board gaming as the group I role play with is very inconsistant. I went back to see all the purchases I had made and noticed their is no good way to keep a list of everything I have purchased. So my question to all of you is, what is the best way to keep track of everything you purchase?

I need to keep track of all my Star Wars RPG stuff from ffg and of course all the board/card/dice/table games.

So does anyone else do this? If so how do you suggest I go about doing this? I know this is not really an Edge of the Empire question however, most of my Star Wars RPG stuff is from Edge so I figured it would be okay to post here.

Thanks,

J

I have a friend who is very into board games. He created a giant excel document to keep track of games he'd purchased and games he wanted, etc. I think a spreadsheet would be the way to go.

Or use a database. There are plenty of inventory tracking applications out there, some of which can make use of a barcode scanner or a camera to do barcode scanning, so that they can make it easier to grab all the appropriate information.

Of course, internally these apps use a database.
