So we've played a few games where instead of factions we can create squads with any ship we want. Would love to hear some of the more interesting combos when one is allowed to have rebels/imperial/scum on the same team. Especially if it's super-trolly (like phantom/Mara stressing everyone out and never decloaking)
Interesting combos
Biggs + Kagi + Jax = Well, you can't attack the other two, and you can't focus, and you can't target-lock the one you can attack.
Biggs + Serriseu
If you're allowing cross-faction upgrades as well, R2D2 (crew version) on a Decimator. Or a Phantom.
Ha! Didn't think about Kagi. We did the Biggs/Carnor combo, adding that to it would be funny
I like the Serrisu/Biggs too ![]()
Kenkirk with lone wolf r2d2 c3po and Ysanne is pretty gross.
Blount with Ruthlessness!
Blount with Ruthlessness!
You have, in 3 words, made it clear why cross faction isn't allowed
How about a Stressbot Warthog with Captain Yorr? Or a pair of them with Wingman Black Squadron TIEs?
I absolutely love flying this!!!
7 DICE ATTACK and surprisingly tough!!!!!
Jan Ors
Wingman
Rec Spec
Moldy Crow
ICT
Whisper
Opportunist
FCS
R2D2
ACD
Rookie Pilot X-Wing
Any Phantom with ACD + Roark.
Rexler Brath + Kyle Katarn, double focus every turn
Dash Rendar + EU + PTL + Mangler Cannon + Outrider + Ysanne Isard. Now Dash can arc-dodge PS8-12.

Zertik, Carnor, Biggs, Serissu.
In case it's not clear from the thread, allowing cross-faction lists is bad for game balance.
Had tons of fun with Boba + Han crew card "Shaddup back there!"
But overall the craziest combo I saw was any stygium phantom with a K4 crew member. Talk about brutal!
Our group and FLGS run 59 point mandatory 2 ships of different factions, all other faction restrictions removed from cards. Tons of fun! Until of course someone came up with that Phantom...
Might be bad for game balance, yes. But still fun to read and see some of the interesting combos you can pull off
Emperor Palpatine + Lando Calrissian on a Decimator.
Or even Emperor Palpatine flying in the same fleet as Lando, to be honest.
"Yeah, I'm gonna just roll 2 dice, change a blank to whatever I want it to be, and get tokens for everything showing. Sound good?"
Also, C3P0 works with Lando's ability too, giving you the potential to Lando for 3 evade tokens if you wish.
(You should guess 1 evade, which crops up 30 of the 64 possible facing combinations. 0 is 25, and 2 is 9).
Using C-3P0 or Palpatine with Lando crew is a bad idea, except in certain edge cases.
The only case where there is an advantage to using C-3P0 with Lando's roll is if you will be defending with 3 dice. In that case, you're more likely to guess correctly on Lando's 2-die roll than on your 3-die roll for defense. If your goal is to stack the equivalent of 3 evade tokens, you're better off rolling 2 dice with Lando, hoping for 2 evades, and then guessing with C-3P0 when you roll your single evade die.
With Palpatine, the difference is that he does not add a die result, he modifies a die result. Which means that, if you roll all evades for defense, he can't be used to give you an extra evade result. So, if you roll a blank with Lando, you could use Palpatine to flip it to an evade. The disadvantage here is that you've now spent Palpatine's ability to give Lando's ship an evade token, which you're not sure he'll need. And if he doesn't need it, that's another ship that could've used the help on defense, or an extra crit you could've generated on offense.
