Good afternoon, Armada community. I am new to this forum. I have been a silent reader in the background for about year now, but decided to create an account recently.

I am an avid x-wing player but have started to dabble in Armada with my father. I love Armada so far and only have a few expansions. My father has the core set so the only time I get to play is when he is in town (he lives out of state).

I want to get a core set for myself, but can't justify the steep entry cost quite yet. As this was the trade section of the forum, I was wondering if anybody was aware of a resource where I could get for cheap the basic components (damage deck, range finder, maneuver tool), or if anyone had doubles or extras they wanted to get rid of. I don't really have anything for trading, but I'd thought I'd check my options.

I managed to do just this for a friend earlier this year.

You'll want to check ebay, and if you're on facebook, I can PM you a link to a international buy/sell/trade group that could help you crowd source all the parts you need.

(which are):

-Obstacles
-Objective cards
-Damage Deck
-Range Ruler
-Initiative token
-Round counter tokens (or a D6)
-Set up markers
-Dice (can be purchased direct from stores)
-Maneuver tool (can be purchased direct from stores)

After getting these items it's just a matter of buying expansions, though you may wanna try to snag a few of the upgrades that come with the core off ebay (if you're not going to collect the ships and cards that come with the core set)
