The Hounds to the Hunter

I've tired a couple variations of this list and after a night with 3 all blank results from four plus dice has pushed me to this:

Soontir Fel

PTL

Royal Guard Title

Auto Thrusters

Targeting Computer

Echo

Calculation

Fire Control System

Stygium Particle Accelerator

Gunner

Obsidian Squadron Pilot x2

I know the Phantom build is unorthodox, but the bigger question I have is gunner worth it? Am I just being paranoid about missing?

Gunner is absolutely worth it on Echo, but Calculation isn't on Echo. Without ACD and with 4 attack dice and FCS and Gunner, it is rarely going to be useful to change a single eye to a crit.

If I were to build something like this:

Academies are better blockers, though susceptible to Predator. Echo's shenanigans can make better use of Outmaneuver. Gunner drops to RecSpec while SPA upgrades to ACD, maintaining attack efficiency, defensive capability, and decloaking every turn. Fel's Targeting Computer becomes a Shield Upgrade to protect against Vader crews. That is, assuming I've done all the points right simply by changing the OP list. :P

My idea for Calculation was to have the option of a critical hit as I would be using focus anyways. For one point, what would be a better option? I'm not overly concerned with bidding for initiative.

I used Outmaneuver in my initial build, and was pleased with the results. I left it out here for the sake of points.

I think I'll try Academies as I could fit in some of the other suggestions.

VI is the best bet on Echo, even without ACD. Otherwise, consider Adrenaline Rush, which will allow you to K-Turn and still act.

I think my above build actually came out to 102, so replace RecSpec on Echo with Intel Agent, which helps mitigate only being PS6. Additionally, similar to Sable's suggestion of Adrenaline Rush, the two Acadmies could be Captain Yorr instead, allowing stress-less K-turns for both Fel and Echo, which can be very surprising.

Furthermore, part of the strength of FCS and Gunner on Echo is that it allows you to spend your action on defensive or positioning actions instead of using it to modify your attacks. Calculation works against that since it assumes that you'll have a focus token available for offense.

I also question not taking ACD when you are spending 40 points on a Phantom. It might just be my inexperience playing them but being able to decloak and attack every round is nice.
