So who wants to be in a Black Crusade Campaign (I'm GMing)

By Isador Martellus, in Black Crusade

Hey there!

We have a RPG group that has been playing for quite a while now (About 8 Months in different campaigns).

We are about to start a Black Crusade campaign with the following points:

-Friday Evening at 7PM British Time

-All Human Campaign

-Ex crew of a rogue trader ship that started, but failed, in a mutiny of the captain. Not quite truly into the chaotic powers just yet, but getting close. They manage to escape in a shuttle craft, but crash land on the planet they are orbiting around. With Little to no info on said planet, they must find a way to escape the trader, the planet's dangers, and all in all survive to fight another day...
Their only real hope is a Brass Gateway that has appeared to them and gave promises of safety and opportunities for unimaginable power.. but their freedom is literally a loan... and a debt still needs to be payed.....

But we need a new player for our party to spice stuff up / one of our players cannot make the day :)

If you fancy wanting to be that new player, give me a run down of your character's description / background / backstory in the replies below, the ones that interest me will get an interview on teamspeak, and, as a reminder, there will only be ONE who actually gets through to play :)

What we want:

-Speak English Well

-Able to make the times from 7-12pm GMT

-Having a good mic

-Having Teamspeak

Apart from that, Good luck :)

I have teamspeak, a relatively good mic, am a native english speaker, and can make the times of 7-12 pm.

I'm thinking of playing as a Khornate Sister of Battle who frequently gets visions of "The Brass Emperor" that command her to follow through with bloody acts of slaughter. Do you want a general description or a more cinematic writing of her backstory? I can do either one.

I speak English relatively well, the mic works nicely and I have Teamspeak and skype to work with. I'm also fairly sure that if the game time is 7 pm GMT then I can actually make it due to AEST being 9 pm.

As for characters, I have some plans for several different members of the crew that were part of the mutiny... before I dedicate myself to fleshing one out however, I would like to get an idea of what the party is currently already made up of; What have we already got and what kind of skills are they bringing to the party?

Sorry for the double post but I felt that a new post was required in order to get this thread kick started properly.

Techie was born on-board the as yet named Rogue Trader's ship to two members of the crew what people guess to be about twenty years ago (Exactly how old he is tends to be hard to tell, what with warp travel and everything). Trained from a young age to ensure that the ship that was his birthplace and home that shielded them all from the void and the warp remained capable of doing so, Techie found himself with a knack for machines that would have either gotten him inducted into the Machine Cult or executed by them (Depending on what tech priest you happened to be talking to at the time) if he had been anywhere but a Rogue Trader's ship. While there were people on board the ship that were called upon by the Rogue Trader when he wanted a new pieces of technology examined, Techie tended to be on their crews when they needed a team of people to look at something; His ability to survive the misadventures that normally followed the discovery of new tech earned him some recognition among the crew and the command staff.

Unknown to just about everyone in the crew and command staff, Techie was born a psyker. It is something that he keeps largely to himself due to the stigma that comes with being a psyker; His survival during some of the misadventures while studying xeno or lost human technology was only because he had access to warp powers, which he started to unleash once everyone else was either dead or dying.

Techie's involvement with the mutiny was caused largely due to the selfish greed of their Rogue Trader master. In order to save money, the Rogue Trader had started to cut costs and corners for members of the crew, causing avoidable injuries and deaths amongst them. Techie threw in his lot with the mutiny due to the hope that a change in management would improve the situation for himself and those who worked to ensure that the ship functioned properly.

Hello, are you still looking for players? If so then i would love to join you in your heretical endeavors! Yes the time is ok, yes i have a mic and teamspeak and yes i do speak English. Let me know.
