Best ship for outmaneuver

By Chief Hugh, in X-Wing

I'm thinking Rexlar Brathwould be a candidate with the new tie engine title. So who do you think can use this EPT the best?

A dual-IG list. With 88B, HLC and FCS, you have all the firepower and dice modification you need, so you can use the Aggressor's maneuverability (especially with 88D) and Outmaneuver to make those shots really count.

Vader, Juno Eclipse, A-Wings with PTL and Outmaneuver are scary(Jake especially), Vessery and Wedge, if you want them to die first, slap outmaneuver on them(if they don't target them first though...).

Ships that already have red dice modification and don't need VI or ptl.

Aggressors and advanced mostly.

It's alright on defenders but they're so lackluster in general it's hard to be sure.

Pretty much this. I'd agree on the defenders "alright" sums it up, but id be a little worried with thier limited dial, they're durable and fast though, so you can try some flanking with them.

Jake is the best imo

I like it on Scum Firesprays because you can get K4 crew and because you have 2 arcs to use it on.

Has the New Tie Engine been spoiled?

VESSERY

I thought firespray was the best because of the 2 arcs?

Has the New Tie Engine been spoiled?

From a leak on a Spanish website we've been able to infer roughly how it will work, but the specifics aren't certain yet.

It either lets you treat bank maneuvers as green (more likely) or turn maneuvers as white (less likely).

I have a question on this one. The card refers to the defender's firing arc, but does not specify the primary or secondary. How does this card work (or does it work) with a 360 degree firing arc? For example, if I come up behind a firespray, I am in the primary but not the secondary. Does the card work as if I was a dressing the target from the side?

Outmanoeuvre does in fact specify that you must have the target INSIDE your own firing arc in order to get the benefit

A firespray's secondary counts as a firing arc as far as I know, so you wouldn't get the benefit. If you were outside both of its firing arcs though, you would (not super hard as long as you can barrel roll, and even boost can do the trick if you have higher PS).

Well, I tried a Outmaneuver on Scum Kath Scarlet and that is awesome.
The Aux arc does count as an Arc not so the 360.

Fly past your opponents with Kath and fire onto them with your Aux.. well +1RED -1Green... awesome! :)

Well, as long as they did not perform a K Turn.. hehe

So it does not work on a YT-1300 and other turrets?

It works as long as you have your target in your firing arc (that is the forward facing part that all ships have) and your target does not have you in its firing arc

exactly that

the pw turret advantage (or any turret advantage) does not give you a 360 arc, it just lets you shoot outside your firing arc

To repeat fickle, a ship with a turret does not have a 360* firing arc, they have their normal arc and a special ability to fire outside of it.

The firespray does not have a turret, it has its regular primary firing arc and an auxiliary firing arc. Both of those are "firing arcs". If a card or rule refers to just "firing arc", then the firespray's (and eventually the hound's tooth's) auxiliary arcs qualify. If a card or rule refers to a ship's "primary firing arc" (such as firing secondary weapons), then the auxiliary arc does not qualify.

But the Millennium Falcon and Decimate has a 360 degree arc. So it only applies to the forward facing secondary arc for those ships?

They don't have 360 firing arcs. They have a primary weapon that can shoot 360 degrees, but their firing arcs are forward only.

Got it. Sorry. Hard head on my end.

Vader with Engine Upgrade is particularly good with it.

better with engine and ATC :)

I'm going to run it on Juno for a bit, see how it handles. With engine upgrade and advanced sensors.

Scum Kath firing out her rear arc.
