Attention UFS Players!
After tons of hard work, organization, and help from the UFS players and volunteers, I am proud to announce the 2009-2010 UFS Pro Tour season! This page has been dedicated to the UFS Pro Tour Circuit and will be continually updated with new events, news, rules, and discussion about the UFS Pro Tour.
What is the UFS Pro Tour Circuit (PTC)?
The UFS PTC is a series of competetive events taking place in the US, Canada, and the UK. The purpose for the UFS PTC is to provide well deserved prize support to our dedicated players, as well as to strengthen the UFS community as a whole. PTC events will be 2 days long and must include 3 tournament formats: standard singles, teams standard, and legacy. In addition to each of these events, there may be other side events such as: sealed events, highlander events, and so on. The winner of the standard singles event will recieve a plane ticket to Indianapolis for that seasons' world tournament. Prize support as a whole for PTC events will include the normal UFS regionals prize support as well as verious additional prizes.
When and where do these events take place?
Each year the UFS PTC will host 5 events in the USA, 2 events in Canada, and 1 event in the UK. Tournament locations will be chosen each year based on the surrounding areas player base, volunteer availability, venue, and other factors. The most current tournament schedule will always be listed at the bottom of this post, as well as on our website (currently under construction) and on our myspace page ( http://www.myspace.com/496905199 ).
What are the official PTC rules?
Tournaments will be run exactly like a regional, national, or worlds event for UFS with the following acceptions: Judges must pass a UFS PTC judges test (there must be at least one certified judge available at all events), There may be cards that are PTC legal only in future events, The banned list is subject to change or vary from the FFG banned list. If there are to be any further exceptions they will be posted as soon as they are decided.
Interested in hosting a PTC event?
Information on hosting an official UFS PTC event can be acquired by contacting Jason Hawronsky (UFS PTC Head Tournament Organizer), by e-mail at: [email protected] or by phone at 806-252-3404. Before you can be considered for a PTC event, you must have a venue that can hold a minimum of 50 players, a date for the event, and you must have a certified judge to judge the event. Applications to run the event and judges tests can only be aquired by contacting Jason and getting his approval. Other requirements are as follows: The event must be 2 days long, entree fees for players will be no less than $20 per player and no more than $25 per player (price includes all official PTC events during the two days. Sealed events and other additional events are not included in this price), part of the entree fees will be used to pay for the plane ticket to Indianapolis to be awarded to the standard singles winner, the host will also be responsible for ordering the FFG regionals prize support kit for this event (estimated total of $600 for all prize support, which means you must have a minimum of 30 players participating in the event).
Are you interested in volunteering to help the UFS PTC?
There are various ways for our scouts and volunteers to help the UFS community and the UFS PTC. We earge our scouts to help judge or run events in their area if they are able to. Volunteers can also help the cause by donating prize support to the UFS PTC. We are accepting any donations that you see fit to give out to our players as additional prize support at each event. Hats, shirts, books, movies, games, cards, or anything that is remotely UFS related can be used as additional prize support at PTC events and we appreciate any donations greatly.
Donations can be sent to:

The winner of the SAS event in Florida was Vik, playing with his James Hata 2 deck. We are waiting on the deck lists and exact tournament results from J. and Vik so we can post them online.
UFS PTC 2009-2010 Event List
Because this is the first season ever for this PTC, we will not have every event posted for the season until they have all been approved. Next years applications however are expected to be completed by GenCon 2010. Again, that means anyone planning on running an event for the 2010-2011 season must have all applications and requirements completed by GenCon 2010!
For this season, as soon as we are aware of new events, their status will be posted here, so do not forget to check this page frequently.
