Sorry ment the K-Wing, but its highest PS looks to cost 29 and it's definitely a turret. Hmm... so people might miss the days when only two Fat Turrets were used. This K-Wing has a small base, but stats like a Fat Turret with upgrade slots out the ass. You might be looking at the future 3 K-Wing build. The could call it Special K or KFC.

LOL
sorry man, but that's a massive slip up ![]()
but anyway, the k-wing
1 - small base (no boost shenanigans)
2 - "only" 9 health (1 over b-wing)
3 - apparently 23 point base cost for the PS 2
4 - 2 crappy dice, which is effectively a deathknel for any hopes of fat turretry
5 - spanish spoilers of the TLT shows its a 3 dice, range 2-3 turret that fires twice for a max of 1 damage per shot
6 - no ept slot
7- can't shoot and S.L.A.M
8 - only one crew slot (c3po, sure, but no c3po and r2d2 or gunner or luke...)
trust me, this thing is not even close to a fat turret. As the resident "**** turrets" specialist, I can say that you have absolutely nothing to fear from the K-wing if you're thinking of encountering it as a mini-falcon.
You may, however, have plenty to fear from its bombs and arc-locked ordinance
(both of which have nothing to do with its turret and require actual positioning)
the PS 8's shield regain + DTL + c3po might make a decent (if expensive) counter-fattie since she, like falcons, can effectively counter 2 damage a turn with c3po and shield regain. TLT isn't as screwed by c3po and evades as conventional attacks, so she might actually deal damage even after depowering to regain shields
Edited by ficklegreendiceHa first no one's buying three k-wings, secondly two dice turrets are useless against anything using Autothrusters.
There's a big difference between 13 hit points and an evade token and the 9 hit points the k-wings get.

That's true BUT it's only 2 attack dice.

I already have 1! 2 more isn't so bad
I need to see the cards before I go for 3 Ks
I might though, but not because they're turrets
look at all those sexy bomb templates, the sexy new action, the new 2ndary weapon turret, the 2 new yet unspoiled ordinance and extra munis...

I've kind of considered a 3 K-Wing list. If they are 23 or lower, you could run 3 with Blaster Turret, Recon Spec, and Prox Mines or Seismics. They aren't as vulnerable to the main issue with Blaster Turret since you can still shoot 360 if you bump. Still have to deal with only having range 2. I don't think it will be highly competitive but I do think people will play it. Again, if they are 23, you could run three with the speculated 6 point twin-linked turret, intel agent, and prox mines or seismics. Not sure which of those ideas is cooler.

For certain, Horton with a twin-linked turret is happening. Maybe with BTL-A4, maybe not.
Really wanting to see what the new giant bomb template does.
You would think the "designer" for this ship would have the good sense to also jam a freaking astromech slot onto it, right?? I mean come on. It clearly needs more things.

this too!
good to finally maybe see Horton get scary ![]()
and yeah, that giant bomb template has me giddy! Apparently it's a concussion something that takes an action to drop, so maybe it's technically a mine?
Edited by ficklegreendiceYeah, putting an astromech slot would be too many icons for the upgrade bar. Plus, if you take a card that adds another upgrade slot, you have to print out a sticker and put it in the upgrade bar on the card, right? There's nowhere to put it now!
Edited by Ixidori´m still waiting for the first ship with 2 primary firing arcs left and right, not able to shoot forward... seems kind of interesting for flight planning
Sorry ment the K-Wing, but...
You got the Hound's Tooth, including the preview image, confused with the K-wing? Good grief.

If there were actually locals to play with I might buy 4.

...is this a joke? I don't understand anything about this thread.
Right there with ya.
The circle is now complete
It has an 180 degrees fire arc and not 360 like a turret? What's there to explain? That being said, if Maneuvering Fins work like they seem to, this will be a epic fun ship to fly.
ahhh... you mean a turret option, like a Y-wing... I see what you are saying. I meant that it had something other than fixed-forward firing guns. It appears we are speaking of the same things, just using the same terminology differently.
I see no circle symbol on the base or ship card. Therefore there is no turret.
Then how do you explain the 180-degree firing arc?
Calling the hounds tooth a turret is like calling the Firespray a turret. Now it is true that the Hounds tooth has 2 auxiliary firing arcs that make its have a primary weapon firing arc of pi radians
. However and this is the biggest disadvantage for large ships is they have no way of engaging ships behind them unless they K-turn. I don't know if the Hounds Tooth will have any of those K-turns or S-loops on its dial.

It's a Conner Net. Big electric ship trap.
Huh

I shall keep a weather eye out for spoilers with great interest
The definition of turret has been changed to mean "Any ship that is tanky and can shoot".

I'm super casual. Maybe I'll be a pro in a few years.
