Yet another Palantir thread

By GrandSpleen, in The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game

Although, Bilbo isn't noble, and sadly nor is Lore Aragorn or Grima. in some ways that's one of the reasons I find the Palantir a problem.

Pfffffffffffffff, true, my bad. Let me think....:wacko:

Denethor is your closest bet.

Denethor is your closest bet.

Exactly, it was a pitty. If i change Grima i 'lose' resources, if i change Bilbo i 'lose' cards. Maybe Bilbo, and i will add Mithrandil Advice and Gleowine. Grrrrr, it was a good deck.

Well, if it was indeed a good deck, substituting a couple of cards in and out shouldn't change things dramatically.

Yes. But anyway it hurts.

Other option is quit out GrĂma and doomed cards and focus the resources on Master of Lore.

Awp832, I agree that Berevor and Galadriel are amazing (and Ori). The most I was trying to say was that the Palantir is on part with those in terms of pure card draw. The cost is indeed worse with Palantir, but you have to add in the scying, so it is tough to have a straight comparison. I am fine with saying those heroes are better, but that is a long way from saying the Palantir sucks.

As I said, the deck was a long time ago (around time of Voice of Isengard) so I will assume that I used UC instead of Rohan warhorse and just misremembered. I know I didn't use nor am I a stranger.

I will also repeat that Dwalin is obviously only for quests heavy in orc enemies where you can rely on him. Also, if he has a Dwarven axe and Boromir at his side that is 7 attack.

I've had so many moments like this recently where I build a deck idea and then realise I've totally misremembered how a card worked. And these noble only cards are few and far between. :)
