Episode 1:-
So finally got my mates together to try out the preview of RT.
I was GM and had two PCs as Sarvus the Rogue Trader and Dominique the Void Master...
I started the game with the RT coming to a dirty underground club/bar called "The Ditch" where he found his long-time alcholic friend the VM, happily drinking away his last few hours of R&R in Port Tenby above Planet Entice. [i did this to introduce the players combat and its workings]
After a short bar brawl envolving a rival RT crew and a stripper; which ended in the VM head stomping a crewman and the RT scarying off the others; the companions made their way too the vessel, "The Enlightenment".
After boarding the ship and informing the crew of there next endeavour the ship set sail for the dangerous area known as the Battleground.
Succesfully the team found the Bounty and scanned the debris field with o harm cming to the tiny Guncutter. Whilst aboard the team made haste to the bridge, noticing the corpses that had died due to lack of oxygen. [the RT kept searching the bodies along the route and so i allowed a Logic test to reveal this]
On the bridge a desperate fight broke out between the RT boarding team (RT, VM, 15x Crewmen and 9x Salvagers) and the Navigator's horde. Within three rounds the RT crew devised a retreat to find the Bounty's engine room, accompanied with a sizable explosion to escape the clutches of the possessed Orden.
Whilst the team were in flight they came across the wandering Erat, whom almost got shot by a terrified crewman. [i played this as a perception test, if successful the RT would realize that Erat wasn't a Warp Puppet, and would order his men to stand down. This was failed and so resulted in a scared crewman opening fire, luckily he missed! I had in mind if Erat was shot it would be harder to coerce him later...] Erat takes the party to a secure location and introduces himself.
End of Episode 1.
Had lots of fun playing but found it hard to relay to the players an alternate tactic for destroying Orden, i fact i had to basically tell them that the only way to defeat him would be to raise the ship's Gellar field (mostly down to sloppy GMing on my part).
Looking forward to our next session, still trying to think of additional events or scenes i can fit into the story before it ends.
At least we have Dark Frontier to play next, but man i am really desperate for a release date!
