By Lemurr, in X-Wing

Acrylic evades. Haven't had those in awhile, right?

I think so. It looks like a crew icon.

meh

moff jenrod maybe?

Didn't we just get X-Wing dice bags?

But yay for Evade tokens to go with the focus tokens!

I think it's Recon Specialist, not Flight Instructor.

I agree.

Looking at the length of words, it seems to fit with the card text from Recon Specialist.

I hope you're right. Recon Spec would get FAR more use than Flight Instructor

...maybe that's a part of the 'no card left behind' initiative.

Well I need some of the evades but I was hoping for an alt art Summer Bikini Guri.

I still don't understand "dice bags" in a game that requires no more than 12 dice (6 red, 6 green), but can be played just fine with 6. IMHO it seems like a prize with no purpose.

Now if this were 40K and you were playing Orks and needed to roll 100+ D6 on the charge...

Not sure what would be a good substitute prize though...Maybe 4 posters the same size and artwork used in the event announcement poster (I always try to get one of them after the event, frame it and hang them in the kids bedroom; Imps for The girl, Rebs for the Boy). Or maybe multiple sets of cards from previous kits (2 or 3 cards, either all the same generic ships...Academy Pilot, Scimitar Squadron, Blue Squadron, etc or a set of cards with 1 each).

But dice bags? Meh.

I was hoping for some S&V alt cards.

Xizor and Guri to name a few.. Ig88 would be a funny too.. (Which one would get the card ABCD)

Also those dice bags are getting old..

I didn't know Dash was a lumberjack. But that's ok he sleeps all night and works all day.

If it fits in the dice bag, it goes in the dice bag. Mine have dice, sure, but also little baggies with my damage deck, my focus/evade/shield/stress tokens, etc. It's my "here's all the small stuff I need for a game" bag.

Why would an "alt" card of Recon Specialist have (what looks like) an Imperial Officer? Am I the only one that seems skeptical of this facebook post?

The empire didn't have reconnaissance officers?

I "just had to have" the alt art ptl card. Whenever an imperial gunner comes out, I'll feel the same way again. I just don't know if I'm going to look out of my way for a tournament that's using the summer kit as opposed to playing my normal game store.

Easy solution: get your game store to purchase a Summer Kit when they're officially announced!

That's not plaid.

Those are SHOULDER PADS.

Because 90s.

I'm into the Reconnaissance Specialist! It's positive that we're getting more uniformed officers as well, I'd rather have that in my ship than some scumbag bounty hunter.

Regarding an Imperial Gunner....oh man, imagine the cart art with some Death Star Gunners/Imperial Engineers. You know, the guys in the weird helmets? That'd be awesome.

Is it me or does the point value of that crew card appear to be 4?

The 90s were a golden age of shoulder pads.
