Tournament Points Update?

By ghaerdon2, in Star Wars: Armada

I'm wondering if the Margin of Victory table on page 2 of the tournament rules is going to be updated for 300 point tourneys?

0-20: 5-5

21-50: 6-4

51-90: 7-3

91-150: 8-2

151-220: 9-1

221+: 10-0

From the FFG Tournament pack before it was corrected for 180 point games.

Thank you, my TO wasn't sure what to do.

Where can you find this or was this just an older document? I plan on using these points but lots of sticklers in my area....oh the north east.

I was talking to FFG OP yesterday and they told me an update is on the way. I'm waiting for official document.

Hmm...looks like they neglected to update the mov awarded for a bye to 91 from 61.

Scoring

Players always calculate their scores at the end of a match to determine the margin of victory, which is described below. Scores are calculated as described on page 9 of the Star Wars: Armada Rules Reference with the following exception:

• If all of a player’s ships are destroyed, his or her fleet is worth 300 points, even if friendly squadrons remain in the play area or the fleet is worth less than 300 points. His or her opponent still adds any points scored from the objective to the 300 points scored for destroying the fleet

Does that mean if I blow up all 200 points of my enemies capital ships, but none of their 100 points of squadrons, I still get the 300 points, and a likely 10 tournament points?

Yes, but you would still deduct the opponents score from yours to calculate MoV. So, neglecting objectives for the moment, if you managed to kill all his ships without him scoring at least 80 points against you, then yes, it's 10-0.

ya you get the 300pts destroyed then factor the scenario and what they killed. We found that if you didn't kill squadrons and killed the 2 ships a lot of games were 6-4, 7-3 victories. I like this update.
