At my game night tonight I'm thinking of using Capt Oicunn with advanced proton torpedoes, Dauntless, Recon Specialist, Tactician, Mara Jade, Determination, Munitions Failsafe, and Proton Baombs. Soontir Fel with Royal Guard Tie, Push The Limit, Targeting Computer, and Autothrusters. Any help would be appreciated.
Will this list work?
Not really sure I see the need for multiple focuses (foci?) on a Deci, since you would rarely see benefit from that extra focus on defense. Not that you wouldn't ever use it, but there are likely better ways to spend that 3 points than a Recon Specialist.
Tactician is likely a waste. The Deci isn't a jouster, and that card can only be used against targets in your firing arc at range 2. Use Rebel Captive instead.
And I'm not sure I see the value in APT. These are best used on ships with 2 actions, so you can spend the TL to launch them, and spend a focus to modify those results. Additionally, it's 6 points for a 5 dice attack at range 1, when your range 1 attack is 4 dice anyway. Eliminating this also removes the need for munitions failsafe.
Assuming you're set on running a fully loaded Oicunn, I'd suggest this (99 points):
Oicunn (42)
Daredevil (3)
Seismic Charge (2)
Engine Upgrade (4)
Dauntless (2)
Rebel Captive (3)
Gunner (5)
Ysanne (4)
Soontir (27)
Title (0)
Autothrusters (2)
Targeting Computer (2)
Push the Limit (3)
There's another thread on here that discusses the potential hilarity from Oicunn/Dauntless/Daredevil combo. Have fun! ![]()
What does Recon Specialist do for you? Decimator has 0 Agility, and only one attack. You will not be able to spend both focus tokens.
Edited by floofThe only way I could see taking Recon Spec on a 0-1 agility ship is if you have a card that feeds off of focuses.
The problem is that the one's that do this aren't worth taking over other options.
If you had a empty crew and an empty EPT slot and exactly four points left over, I could see taking Recon Spec with Calculation.
Wait, no I can't, because Predator.

You could also drop the Seismic Charge to replace Soontir's Targeting Computer with a Shield Upgrade to give him a little extra protection from all of the unavoidable damage that's floating around.

Yea, I think I'd run him with a Stealth Device, but he didn't seem to be asking for suggestions on Soontir. Besides, they're all legitimate choices.
