Two Decks to Rule them All

By awp832, in Strategy and deck-building

I have been thinking about writing down these paired decks for a bit now, I have been working on perfecting them. I noticed Boronoid asking for new two player decks, I think these are strong. They have victories against pretty much all the serious quests, (the only notable that I don't own is Laketown), I don't own much of nightmare, but they can beat NM JatA pretty handily. I'll give the deck lists and explain my thought process behind them a bit as well. Generally this is done multiplayer, where I play deck-1 and my wife plays deck-2. Incidentally, we'll be taking these decks (or variations therof) to GenCon to do the fellowship event and we want to win, so any suggestions are appreciated. Both of these decks are 1-core.

Strategy talk:

Okay, so basically deck 1 is my baby. It's a silvan deck that doesn't do silvan things. it's just willpower, healing, support. No popping silvans in and out of play, no shenanigans. I use Galadriel, mirror, and Galadriel's card draw to basically get anything I want pretty quickly. Haldir is support with his 3 ranged damage. Once Deck-2 plays a Bow of the Galadhrim on Haldir, he becomes REALLY a beast, able to attack for 5 ranged damage, and really 6 if you count Aragorn's -1 defense for enemies engaged with him. Haldir can snipe pretty much any weak and moderate type enemy before they get a chance to attack, and if you're lucky enough to get him with 2 Bows of the Galadhrim, he can kill all but the toughest monsters in one shot. Even his basic 3 attack combined with Aragorn's -1 shield is good enough a lot of the time. Noiseless Movement is great to keep enemies in the staging area to give Haldir an extra turn to shoot if needed. Keeping threat low is essential, you want deck-2 to be engaging everything if possible. This deck can put a lot of willpower to work, and has a lot of great support cards as well.

Deck 2 is a fairly standard eagle deck, you are trying to get Support of the Eagles out on Aragorn probably, shield for Beregond. Then you just engage everything, sit back and let Haldir snipe what he can, block the rest, and slaughter it with Aragorn, pulling anything still in the Staging Area (thanks, noiseless movement) to engage with Aragorn's ability, ready with the horse, and kill that too.

Looks like a winner. Will try these soon on Lost Realm and Treason of Sorryman quests!
