Paragon doesn't seem that good

well the token's there, and while we can't see the defense tokens we do know the ISD has five of them according to the preview image

products are not final and are subject to change, ofc, but I wouldn't be too surprised. Depending on how super expensive the ISD is, I can imagine it needing some long ranged defenses to not get absolutely murdered by 400 points of red dice :P

note, however, that that third star destroyer title towards the left reads

whil--

defendi--

exha--

sooo...maybe an upgrade?

My Assault Frigate has you in its front and side arcs. Prepare to be.. *puts on shades*... Para- gone .

I'm sorry.

LOL - And so you should be!

But you're right, it makes things turn into expanding clouds of debris!

Getting back to the subject at hand (Yes, I too am looking forward to the ISD):

My own issue with Paragon is that it needs to have the same ship targeted. For those of you who have already tested this out, how reliably can you get both arcs on one ship at long range? I can see it reliably work at close range, but long range doesn't seem that easy.

It isn't easy. But it can be done. The real issue is that the first attack is always from your mediocre front or back arcs. They're a potshot you could be spending on fighters or out your other side.

But that's the tactics of the card. It needs a Firepower action to work because then you're adding two black dice to your mid-long range attack.

It can be devastating fast.

Is it a sure thing? No. But the card is pretty cheap and a single use can earn the points very effectively.
