I am having some issues of not having the drivers to run the maptool program. I just got a new computer with windows 8 and not sure if i need to download more drivers or an other program to run it. Can some on post a site that i can go and read up on it or explain what i need to do to get it working. I currently have downloaded the Map, Dice, char, token, initiative tool and not one has an application file in them.

What maptools are you talking about?
sorry. i am talking about the tools from http://www.rptools.net/
OK I GOT IT! im happy it works now. looks like i needed to install java 8.
I'm learning rptools but hav seen it played on YouTube. Is it possible to import into the tools - like can I use the dice settings someone has already created? If so, where are these?
I use Maptools on Windows 8 myself
You don't need Drivers, you need Java

the only way you can use some one elses dice settings is:
#1 if they are part of the Campaign file in the Campaign dice macro area.
or
#2 if another player Exports thier Dice Macros and then gives you the Exported dice files, which you then insert into you maptools (.maptools) folder in the correct area, and then Import into your game.
(same thing with getting some ones Campagn dice settings as a GM. they give you the exported Campaign base file and you import it into your campaign. (Note importing a campaign settings file will erase YOUR campaign settings ... So if you have set up things in your campaign settings, you will Not want to use that method. ))

There are dice macros out there. There are rules frameworks that can be downloaded with dice plus more. You can find them on the RPTools forums. Here is one that I found but haven't tried out http://forums.rptools.net/viewtopic.php?t=23988
Personally I use Maptool for the map and use Google Hangouts for the dice (they have an EotE app that includes a dice roller and destiny point tracker).
