7 Tacticians

By ParaGoomba Slayer, in X-Wing Squad Lists

2x OGP, 4x Tactician

1x Patrol Leader, 1x Engine Upgrade, 3x Tactician

or you could just fly 2 Patrol Leaders loaded out as such. The only thing that tops this as a pure troll team would be 4 Lambdas and 8 Tacticians. This is meant to be a somewhat better at actually winning than just trolling your opponent. Flying a dumb troll list is nice and all, but it's even better if you win with it.

You could drop the engine upgrade and 1x tactician on the Patrol Leader for Gunner. Extra trolly fun to drop 4 stress in one turn.

Stacking Tacticians is my plan for the Hound's Tooth. This looks interesting, though not especially fun to fight. The swap for gunner would be helpful even when not in arc.

Trolololol

Stacked Tacticians should be much more effective on the Hound's Tooth than it will be on a Decimator since the Hound's Tooth appears to have a 180 degree arc.

What about dual Patrol Leader, with 2 x tactician and a gunner?

Problem is; can it live long enough to kill the enemy?

FTFY.

All I can say is i played against 4 shuttles with two Tactician on each and it was brutal.

I was flying bbbbz.

Both lists want to joust, but the shuttles have an advantage from the start.

The hard part is getting behind them.

First game I lost, second game against this squad in top 4 I got a shuttle off the board before time was called

Don't underestimate it is all I can say

It's a lot of stress, and a lot of coverage

Shuts down a lot of builds if one shuttle gets a range two shot.

Especially with b. Their dial sucks with two stress

As for the fast maneuverable ships they stand a better chance, but again if you manage to double stress fel, Han, dash etc it'll be hard for them to get away.

Having four shuttles on the board is hard to get around. Their base alone takes up a huge chunk of the board.

Get behind them and it's game over.

However, in the right hands with a skilled opponent, it's not always as easy as it sounds

So 8 Tacticians is actually effective lol? I would have thought they would just get flanked. How did the player setup his Lambdas?

hey! I'm the 4 lambda guys. I set them up usually from left to right, the first one at a corner angle, then one or two facing the middle, and then on the far side another angle pointing toward the opposite side. the key is to slowly move forward, do some stalls, but also with this setup you can choose where to joust, and make 2 shuttles flank. the idea is to setup fly by passes so that if they give chase to one or two shuttles, the others can swing in and cover them. hopefully stressing them out in the process.

also by staggering a few, you can setup some really great traffic jams, where one or two shuttles bumps and is always at range 2, and the parking lot doesnt stop until you decide to break the formation. very useful against those IG lists.

Okay, I'm in. 2 more Lambdas are on their way, and I should be buying the last 2 Tacticians I need to run this soon from a friend.
