What if you trade the R2 units and the flechette torpedoes for Bwing E2s with Tacticians?
The Tactician B-wings sound interesting Guess I'll have to buy a second TIE Phantom.
What about r3a2 with one of those Y-wings?
I ran this list at the UK nationals last year without the A4 title to some success, called it Golden Daggers. Though it did suffer against swarms.
I also won the Assault at Imdaar tourney with this list. I haven't flown rebels in a while now so not sure how it would fare against Whisper/Soontir lists especially with autothrusters thrown into the mix.

What if you trade the R2 units and the flechette torpedoes for Bwing E2s with Tacticians?
If you are leaving the title on the Gold Squads, the R2 units are going to be a huge help in keeping targets in arc and being able to deal with stress.
I ran BBYY the other day in a casual game and found that Advanced Sensors really helped my B-Wings keep up with the Y's and able to keep their actions whole. I ran the title, ion turret and R2 on both Y's and the number of red dice you can pull out of this little 4 ship list isn't bad especially considering their resiliency.
Tactcian is very good if you have the points for a crew slot, however the flechette cannon does the same thing and is not restricted to the rng 2 bubble.
just a thought. I like title on the Y's, but I usually just put one on if I'm running 2 Y's, gives a little more arc flex with one of the Ion's. personal flavor I guess

Tried the Ys with the Bs armed with ion cannons. I like! Beat a Dash Han force easily. Rest of the matches were close but didn't go in my favour.
