Walking across an enemy figure

By Ikon84, in Imperial Assault Campaign

Hi all, we're not sure how to manage the following case. Let's assume a Rebel [R] with speed equals to 2 (prisoner in Imperial Hospitality) wants to walk across an adiacent Nexu [N]. Now the rebel has to move 2 spaces across the Nexu which costs 4 plus 1 to move out (and reach the space I marked with [X]). The Rebel has an interrupt from Gideon's Command which can be used to perform a move or an attack.

The imperial player arguments are:

1) You can't use the interrupt and then the move because you can't stand on the Nexu's space between the end of the interrupt and the move action.

2) You can't use the move and then the interrupt for the same reason.

So I said:

"I move twice and gain 4 movement points, I spend 2 and start walking through the Nexu but at that moment I interrupt to perform a move so I gain 2 more points."

In his this is still not valid:

3) You can't stand on the Nexu's space at the end of the interrupt.

I actually think all his 3 arguments are completely wrong. What do you think?

Gideon's Command ability can NOT be used during another hero's activation. Command requires an action to be used (a special action denoted by the arrow icon) and 2 strain. So, I don't see how this ability can be used during another hero's turn.

Yeah, in that situation I think there's no possible way for the 2-speed figure to get past the Nexu, since the most they could ever have at one time is 4 (double move on their own activation) and that's not enough to get clear of it. So you'd have to kill it, or maybe force-push the figure through the Nexu (I think that uses "counting space" so it doesn't require the penalty for going through a hostile).

Correct. I was thinking of ways to get past the Nexu, and Force Push was one of the ways. ;)

I've just realized Command doesn't work that way... and I'm very disappointed on how badly this ability is written. They should write "may immediately interrupt" and identify the timing of the interrupt explicitly. This messed up the whole campaign.
