Never looked into it but stumbled onto this and there seem to be SO many designs out there that FFG can easily bankrupt me...
(even if they'd choose to only design and sell half of them)

I so want the last one.
Only the last one?
I wants dem all... ![]()
Poppycock.
There are only two types of Star Destroyer:
Imperial-class (including Imperial-I and Imperial-II sub-types)
Executor-class
Anything else is a wannabe. ![]()
The model for the last one fills 4 shipping containers. Some assembly required.
Last I heard, MSRP was $64K. Or maybe that was $64K GBP?
Star Destroyer must have planetary bombardment canon (that bulge behind the hangar)
For example
Gladiator has it while Vindicator doesn't (its classified as heavy cruiser)
I wonder if the snack of choice for the Empire is doritos?
torpedo sphere coming for wave 3!!!!

That's the main reactor. The bulge is only present on some ships, as others have designs where the reactor is completely contained within the hull, or utilize multi-reactor power plants. For example, the Tector-class has the bulge completely covered by armor plating (in RoTJ, we see the Falcon fly over a Star Destroyer that lacks the bulge and the main hangar - that's a Tector).
Off the top of my head, I can think of three Star Destroyer classes that lack the bulge: Tector-, Venator-, and Executor-class warships lack the bulge present on the Imperial-class and others.

Well, it's obvious their favorite food is pizza.
(little-known fact - a large cheese pizza with extra cheese is colloquially referred to as a 'Fat Han' by TIE Interceptor pilots.
)

Well, more than the others. ![]()
As the scale is basically "What looks good" I'll live in hope.
Well, most of them I wouldn't want. The Executor, okay, I'd take her, if she isn't too small nor too large, the Tector - yes please! - Interdictor, just shut up and take my money, but the rest? Eclipse? No, thank you, Acclamator or Venator? I hated the prequels and those ships aren't to my flavour neither. A carrier like the R.H.C. Relentless would be nice, too.
I like the Bellator. ![]()
Escort carrier and it's squadron value of five!
Come to my fleet.
I really am curious to see what ships they make. Originally I thought they'd never go for an SSD scale ship, but the more I think about it the more I'm not sure how they'll ever avoid it. So many Legends star destroyers are larger than the Imperial. A lot of the smaller ships seem pretty obscure. Then again, prior to Wave-1's announcement I never would have thought they'd reach for the star destroyer from Droids, so who knows.

I think given that they're making capital ships for X-Wing, it is only a matter of time until they make super massive capital ships for Armada. Like the Executor and Eclipse.
This thread is Tarkin Bait.
Come on guys, resist the urge.
It's no use Beatty, the mere hint of the Tarkining caused all threads to break out into SSD debates!! Oh the horror!! ![]()

On another note, I would love the Acclimator and Venator class ships. If FFG isn't going to go into the prequel era the least they can do is add some of the iconic ships!

While the Venators were oddly phased out, the Acclimator's stayed in service with the Empire. Some where even modified/upgraded into fighter carriers. Well thats with the old canon anyhow. A stupid question but as I don't read the forums as much as I use to. What is "the tarkining" ? Is it the Death Star Mk II aka the Tarkin, or is all the ships mentioned in the recent Tarkin novel ?
Alpha Two, due to the increasing number of threads dedicated to and other threads being hijacked into "will a Super Star Destoryer be added to Armada?" some of the forum users have given it a nickname. To "Tarkin" a thread is to get said debate started, I went a little further and played on words a little for "The Tarkening" as an even more general name for the event.
