At 400 points why not just make a fleet built of Assault Frigates, Neb B's, and MC30's....it already sounds like a kick ass fleet to me
And my friend who plays empire said something about 400 point games.... Is this going to be the new setting for points in games and tournaments?
once wave 2 is released, we're going up from 300 point to 400 point fleets
no doubt to accommodate for the real fatties coming out ![]()
We're already playing 400 point games and I recommend it. (Granted we aren't in a tourney scene).
I also have to give a thumbs up to the Salvation, though I was running mine with xx-9 turbolasers and liked that setup as well. Those with Dodonna allowed me to keep crippling the victories.
To fix the a-wing anti-fighter dice, flight controllers have done really well. Pity they're only in the victory box.
Dutch is also the bane of my friends' existence, especially with Adar Tallon.
Lastly, Leia in a Jaina's Light CR90-A is a really good, cheap way to give the guppy some command flexibility.
It makes sense, I would expect that the imperial Star destroyer is going to be hefty on point cost
2 guppies blail. You will end up spending around 230-250 points on them and your commander, but it will be worth it!
idk, I'm going to be satisfied with wave 1 for a good time to come
Yeah I liked the 180 version of Armada, but now with wave 1 it's so much better. The Assault Frigate was something the Rebels desperately needed. Maybe not exactly that ship, but a medium sized ship that could stand up to a VSD. The game feels more balanced now than it did, even with the 2 core set games.
I think the trick with Neb's is to treat them as someone said in another thread "elven archers", that or carrier support. A Escort with Yavaris is quite nice.
But at the same time a Support Frigate with XX-9 turbos and Salvation makes a great sniper. I'm trying to figure out some way to improve the chance of a crit with it.
Between XX-9, Salvation and Dodonna you can pile on a ton of nasty crits pretty quickly. A single crit that gets through the shields means looking at the first 8 cards in the damage deck and picking out 2 that you think will hurt the worse, plus that crit counts as 2 damage.
without Skreed, the rebs only have Raymus to improve crit chance
spam your CF command, take the token, add a die and a re-roll and hope to land a crit ![]()

I don't have him yet, only have the AF MK2, Neb and GSD so far, but when I get the CR-90 pack I'm planing on adding him to the Salvation Neb.
I'm really liking Wave 1. Both sides got what they needed to help balance out the game. The Imps got a quicker and more maneuverable ship and the Rebs got the AF as well as the Salvation title to help with firepower. Plus the fighters and upgrades like flight controllers made the squadron game a lot more interesting.
Neb B and Yavaris can be pretty deadly if get your fighters into a spot where they can attack twice.
I nearly took out a GSD with 2 X-Wings, thanks to Yavaris and the Most Wanted mission. The two X's threw 8 dice at it, and since it's 2 dice per things like brace or redirect do little good. It helped greatly that my dice were very hot, and landed 7 hits out of 8 dice.
Can pair that up with Adar to get another attack still.
I'm thinking the Support refit Neb makes more sense with Salvation then the Escort does. The only thing you really lose is 1 anti-fighter die, but it's 6 points cheaper, which nearly pays for the title.
Really digging the Assault Frigate with Enhanced Armament. 4 Red 1 Blue die for 10 points? Yes please!
You played wrong. Most Wanted got errataed. Squadrons don't get an extra dice vs the objective ship.

Thanks, I looked at the FAQ but that was a while ago, and haven't looked again. Now that i'm playing more I'll read it over again.

I think it's worth pointing out that if the salvation with xx-9 turbolasers only rolls 1 crit and the defending ship has 1 shield up, the ship prevents 1 damage and takes only one faceup card.
At the moment, my two favorite 300 point lists are general variations of the following:
1. Dual AFMkIIAs, heavily upgraded
2. Dual AFMkIIBs with a Salvation Nebulon-B
Both lists use 4-6 squadrons depending on how many points I pour into upgrades, mostly A-wings but I'm going to experiment with some Xs and Ys as well.
I'm thinking on getting the core set and a Neb B expansion and a rebel fighter expansion.. I'm on kinda a budget at the moment but figured it could get me a good start in the game for now. I'm interested in trying out the Neb B salvation with x17 laser combo. Is there any other upgrades that are a good add on to that ship configuration?
raymus from the CR90 expansion
he's just ******* awesome in general, but for Salvation his ability to give you a concentrate fire token with the concentrate fire command gives you that many more chances at scoring critical hits.
plus little things like a 5 repair token repair command, jumping from speed 1 to 3 with one navigate command, activating 2/3 squadrons at a time etc.

You can only resolve one critical effect per attack.

Ray is one hell of a guy. I've been using him on Yavaris (for three double-tapping fighters) with an Engineering Team (for 6 engineering points). Haven't used him on Salvation (took the Intel Officer instead), but imagine he's just as awesome for shooting as he is for squad activation.

And I am...
XX-9 turbolaser gives a crit effect of dealing the first two damage cards face up. The Salvation title isn't a critical effect.
