Mauler clarification

By EricDM, in Star Wars: Armada

I'm a bit confused about Mauler's ability. I thought if a squadron was engaged it couldn't move. So how does Mauler get to cause damage against engaged ships when he moves?

Maybe another cup of coffee/beer will help.

Thanks in advance for any help.

You are correct. Normally, engaged ships can't move. Maulers ability triggers when he moves into engagement the first time. So if you see a cluster of enemy fighters, move into engagement with all of them and do a point of damage to each.

Also, when comboed with Chiraneau he's a real jerk.

Squadrons, not ships. In Armada, the terms are distinct.

we'll call it "the mithel shuffle"
