second season of AGoT League in New York City

By LetsGoRed, in 3. AGoT Organized Play

The NYC meta will be starting our second League "season" shortly. The format is different from the first season in that it is less structured --meetups won't be run like mini-tournaments, instead they'll be pretty much the casual, pickup game nights they've been of late, but results will be tracked. The format is explained with some more detail on the Events & Activities page at www.agotny.net . The supercondensed description is that over the course of the next several meetups you are trying to play, and have winning records against, as many other players as you can. The format should be unintrusive, so for anyone who has absolutely no interest in the running competition and just wants to play games, it won't interfere.

Please visit www.agotny.net for meetup location and times and other information.

Our League's second season, which was on hiatus while we prepared for two events in NYC and then the holidays, has resumed. Please visit www.AGoTNY.net or email [email protected] for more information.

The AGOT NY Players next meetup will be next Wednesday, 6:45pm, February 10, to play joust (two-player). We'll meet at the Cranberry Cafe (45th St, b/w B'way and 6th Ave) as usual. "Full" LCG decks are permitted (i.e., 3 copies by title of any given LCG era character/location/attachment/event card may be in your draw deck (unless its text doesn't permit it); draw deck must have a minimum of 60 cards and your plot deck must have 7 plot cards exactly with no duplicates unless the plot card specifically allows it; you may use an LCG era Agenda if you wish). Note that Wolves of the North, the first chapter pack of the new cycle, came out a few days ago and you are welcome to use cards from it.

If you think you'll be attending or have any questions, please email me (address below).

Results will count towards League standings for those participating in the League.

After taking an extended hiatus for the Regionals season, League play is resuming in NYC. We are continuing with our Vassal Challenge and now also doing FFG's current Achievements for league play. People can join anytime. I expect the League to run for the next six or so meetups. Please visit www.AGoTNY.net for more information.

Last meetup was a lot of fun! People really should make the effort to come if they can.

Agreed (although I'm far from impartial happy.gif ). I've updated League standings on www.AGoTNY.net , including the Achievements summary table along with the modifications being applied to some of the Achievements.

LGR usually does this, but to give people a bit more notice I've decided to post the details of our next meet up.

It's not 100% certain yet, but we should be meeting up next Thursday on the second floor of the Cranberry Cafe, located at 45th St, between 6th Ave and Broadway in NYC. We usually start at 6:30, but a few people might head in a bit earlier.

LGR will probably post more details, but if you have any questions feel free to PM me and/or contact [email protected].
