Impressive. What material did you have it printed in? How does it look next to the others? It's a little hard to tell in the pictures in its current color/translucence.
It's in frosted ultra detail. The fine details are a little hard to make out in its current translucent state, and I'm taking pictures with my phone, but it looks AWESOME.
Then FUD is worth the extra? I've bought some of Mel's stands in black strong and flexible. I really wasn't concerned about the grainy look for them, but I wondered about the ship.
For Armada im doing extra effort to add as much detail as I can to the ships, (they need to look like huge ships). So I would say that here Frosted Ultra Detail is worth it for the ships. In a week or two Ill post a picture of the Venator in FUD and WSF.
Technically it's an Immobilizer 418. But that's just semantics. Got a measurement on that, preferably in millimeters? Should be close to 90.
FUD is the only way to fly with ships at this detail level.

Its 118mm as it should be, since its exactly inbetween the Nebulon B and the Victory since the victory is 900m the Nebulon is 300m and the Immobilizer is 600m.
The ships are not in the same scale.
I think it looks perfect.
I always thought the Interdictor was cool. Looking forward to seeing the finished version!
No pics yet, but I undercoated, base coated, and did the first wash of the model last night. Can't wait to show you guys! Mel has done an incredible job with this ship - the level of detail is just outstanding!
After washing the model in warm water (a must), I used Army Painter matt black spray for the undercoat, then brushed a base coat of Citadel Celestra Grey, and then an initial wash of Nuln Oil. I hadn't used my Celestra in probably at least 9 months, and it was not in the best shape, but I don't think it turned out too badly.
From here I'm going to get to work with Administratum Grey, which I think will be about right straight out of the bottle, but I may need to go a touch lighter.
I've been really encouraged with how things have turned out so far - maybe this will give me the courage to start repainting those $40 FFG ships!

IN all seriousness, yes I did.
OK, here are a couple of WIP pics. As I said above, these were taken after priming, a base coat of Celestra Grey, and an initial wash of Nuln Oil.

Pardon the poor quality, all I have is my cell phone camera!
Keep them coming! Like seeing Nessie!![]()
Wow. That looks official!
*Is at work*
*must use imagination to surmise the greatness of the blocked images*
Ahh man,
I bet it's cool.
Much peace,

Still plenty of work to be done, but I'm always pleased with how great just a simple wash of Nuln Oil looks on a model.
Huge props to you for making such a detailed model - that makes it soooo much easier to get a good look with just a wash!
Looks fanfreakingtastic! Love it in every way man. Great job on the base painting.
Did your starboard antenna break off?
