Dumb Question about ship restrictions

By Cubanboy, in Star Wars: Armada

I got my Starter for Armada and I am getting around to reading the rules. I saw in it that you must have a command ship and cant have more then 1/3 your fleet squads, past that is there a limit to the amount of the same type of ships you could have in battle with you?

Sorry if thats dumb but I did not see it in the rule book.

No I don't think there is

Nope, Just can't have the same uniques or unique attachments.

You have to have a commander (who is on your flagship). Other than a commander, flagship, and no more than 1/3 points in squadrons, you can bring what you want.

Just to point out the only thing that came to mind, watch out for the Unique marker, the dot next to the name on some cards. You cannot have repeats of those, even across card types (IE, when Vader is released with the ISD you won't be able to take his upgrade card for a ship and have him flying a squadron)

Also, each ship can only one Modification type upgrade card. Aside from that, and what's mentioned above, you can do what you want.

Technically, the rulebook does say that you are restricted to bringing ships and squadrons and upgrades that all belong to the same faction. No cross-faction shenanigans. But that should be fairly obvious.

Aside from that (and the unique cards, like everyone else has mentioned) the only other thing that is restricting what you can fly is the thickness of your wallet.

(PS: Welcome to the Armada forums, Cubanboy. Happy Friday to you. ;) )

I am really excited to plan Aramada it seems like this forum is a lot more about the game itself vs other shenanigans. Thanks for the warm welcome.

Oh we have our absurd debates and moments of ridiculousness, but yeah, we're all pretty enthusiastic about it here. The depth of the game makes it a great conversation piece.

And I never miss a chance to snub those scandalous rebels.

Anyway, welcome, please have a seat in the blue (and in no way booby-trapped or sabotaged...so far as you know) chair.
