3B+Biggs

By TheRealStarkiller, in X-Wing Squad Lists

What would be better for competition?

4 B's + Accuracy Correctors

or

3 B's + Accuracy Correctors and Biggs ?

Biggy at range 3 in the opening salvo could split some of the enemy fire. Then when the B's are in close combat, Biggs is most likely damaged and may run.

I'd take the 125 point list every time.

If you are good at using Biggs to split fire the 3Bs+Biggs list would probably be better. If you aren't, I'd stick with 4Bs.

In fact, I've never used him nor B-Wings before :P

Im just ... well ... Tie Advanced fix isn't there yet ... and I wanna have 3 or 4 Accuracy Corrector ships ^^

Then I'd give it a shot with Biggs a few times first. Using range and splitting enemy fire he can keep a ship on the board for an extra round or two.

I would look seriously at three B-wings with Biggs, but I'd also caution you against using 3x Accuracy Corrector. Accuracy Corrector is (on average) worse than a 3-dice attack with a focus or target lock to modify it. Where it really shines is on ships like the StarViper or (soon) the TIE Advanced--ships that really want to have an action for defense or repositioning without sacrificing too much of their offense.

But the B-wing doesn't get much out of saving its focus token for defense, and you'll want to barrel roll sometimes but not always. A Fire Control System is cheaper and will likely be more effective in the long run.

Thanks to both of you.

The reason why I want to go with Accuracy Correctors is the good feeling that it can't go worse then 2 hits in every atack, so if I have a focus, I'd use it to get the 3 hits if possible. Or I even can use BR without the fear of 1 or 0 hits.

FCS would of course be an option ... but not what I intended to use right now.

A completely different approach would be 3B and Eaden Vrill + Flechette Cannon. The Idea behind this is that the opponent wants to clear stress unless he want to get hit by 3 or even 4 dice from Eaden. I have no idea how this would perform, though ^^
