For what it's worth, Wave 5 was announced last year on June 13 and those ships made it to GenCon basically 9 weeks later. Wave 7 was announced on April 17 of this year, so that gives them about 15 weeks to get these to GenCon. That seems reasonable, especially if they are air-freighting the GenCon items. The real question is how long with shipping the mass release will take.
Official; X-Wing Wave 7 Slated for August
Given the delays that we've seen with Armada wave 1 and the Imperial Raider....its anyone's guess when these ships will be on *our* gaming tables.
I don't play test for X-Wing, but any source that told you that could be in jeopardy of legal problems.
That assumes that the source in question is actually under some form of NDA, which we can't know one way or another.
Plus Newt has been posting this in the Armada forms for some time, so if FFG had an issue with it, they would of done something about it by now.

The bounty hunters have been looking for a while, but the 'no incinerations' has been a drag.
my information is legitimate from the highest source.
I had a request to post any information regarding the Imperial Raider in this community, but, sadly, there is no info as of yet,
The highest source has no info on the Raider? That just doesn't seem possible.
The product will show up, when it shows up. No amount of ranting, posturing, posing, beating FFG, or whatever will make it take any longer or get here any sooner.
Go play with the toys you have already. ![]()
I am a playtester for FFG and have an active NDA on record. That means anything about any game that I post can only be based on public information. I don't play test for X-Wing, but any source that told you that could be in jeopardy of legal problems. I would STRONGLY recommend you not pass that sort of info on as it could place you in the same predicament.Hello X-wing community,
For those of you that know me you know I post mostly in the Armada community. For those of you that don't: I don't post any personal info about where I'm from or where my sources are, but you can trust my information is legitimate from the highest source.
Confirmed then? Can you also chastise the people closest to the mark in our TIE mod speculation thread?

That depends on what's causing the delay and where it is in the pipeline. It's entirely possible that literally no one knows exactly when stores will get the Raider.

(1) He said he doesn't test for X-wing.
(2) Even if he did test for X-wing, he certainly couldn't talk about how close to the mark (or not) forum speculation has gotten on any upcoming product, until it's spoiled by FFG.
Think wave 7 will be like wave 5. Pre-release at GenCon and wide release November.
I hope not. That's the single worst thing FFG could do.

That's correct, mostly. You can't actually spoil how the released product differs from the playtest, so anything I see stays with me or I risk legal actions.
I still haven't playtested or been aware of playtested content for X-Wing. I know as much as you, which only public announcements.

The Raider is an entirely new piece of IP created specifically for this game. It's possible that there are issues with its development and release that are more related to licensing than with the actual production of the ship. If so, then it's possible that there's no ETA for when those issues will actually get resolved.
Have a look in the "Upcoming" tab and see for yourself.
Hate to burst your bubble, but I don't think so. What you will likely see is the Imperial Raider expansion at Gencon. Wave 7 hasn't even make it to the "In Development" status as of yet. Seeing how long the Raider has been "in Printing", there is no way that wave 7 be out by Gencon. Your best bet is prior to Christmas this year.
What are you taking about? All of the wave 7 is on the product page as in development and their spoiler article said Q3, which suggests gen con.

Why is it that none of the wave 7 ships on the main status board then, while all the other Star Wars celebrations items are?

Edit: He actually said they were almost done with 8. So yeah, Wave 7 is probably not in the concept stage.
Edited by GiraffeandZebraThink wave 7 will be like wave 5. Pre-release at GenCon and wide release November.
I hope not. That's the single worst thing FFG could do.
I think saying "we're not making any more X-Wing stuff ever again" is the worst thing they could do.

Don't see how it could be the worst. They did it last year and we are all here watching, waiting, speculating and looking to fuzzy non-english videos in hopes of a nugget of info. Face it we are addicted and they are our sadistic dealer who knows how to give us another hit right before we finish detox.

You do know we have already seen two (poor quality) foreign translation unboxing videos, right?
Sure they may be early proofs for quality assurance, but they are almost certainly finalised versions of the cards, models and packaging.
Wave 7 is almost certainly finalised and in full production.
Judging by her history, Enquiringnewt is more trustworthy than God, so I'm counting her word as "Official".That's not really what "official" means.
Which is probably as meaningful to most folks as the term 'head-canon.'

And FFG has been so accurate and up to date on this in the past? Please, don't even start. Wave 7 has been completed and is in production, there is no way they'd announce a new wave that is simply in the concept stage of development. Wave 7 was probably concluded late 2014 and has been in production ever since. An August release wouldn't surprise me. And Newt has been pretty accurate with Armada information so far, so his word is pretty close to as 'official' as we'll get.
"Close to official" still isn't official. I seem to recall some expression about horseshoes and hand grenades, but it escapes me at present.
Official is the wrong word. Reliable rumor is probably better.
The thing is, nothing is set in stone and even if someone could provide an internal memo or email stating when the release is, I still would not bet on it.
Nitpick aside, thanks for the info. ![]()
As for the accuracy of the upcoming page, FFG has stated all of the new cycle for the SWLCG is at the warehouse. They will not be late.
Yet, there are still packs listed as in development.
A projected August release is hardly shocking news.

"We have transferred the IP license to WizKids."
Wow, just read Hasbro/WOTC has bought the X-Wing game license and is now having a team change to X-Wing 2nd edition.
This crack team consists of the same talent used to take D&D 3.5 into the light of 4th edition D&D.
