Spending more points to fix the Defender is the wrong way to go, so I'm leaning towards zero.

I love how we're speculating on how many we're buying, and we don't even know for sure what it does. I'll be buying one first, when I get around to it, then see where to go from there.

I will buy one just because it's imperial I have to support the corp and do my part. I may buy a second because I have 2 bombers just for the off chance I get to play epic. I like the idea of 2 three man wings in epic consisting of a bomber, a punisher and an interceptor for escort (possibly a defender or phantom)

I will definately be buying one punisher and one K-wing, neither ship really appeals to me but I want the new bombs. I figure between the bombs and the other cards I will eventually pick up at least one more of each. I may even have to start a new case for ships I'm not fond of and don't play. I will play each at least once but I figure the Starviper will have some more company with both of these.

I get 2 of every expansion, punisher will be no different. That will provide 4 copies of this card, which is enough for any list but a swarm. If it proves useful enough to put on every ship in a swarm (difficult to say since we still don't know what it does) then FFG will be including it in other packs eventually and I'll get more copies then.

Nightbeast would be up there with Backstabber and Darkcurse as top-tier Tie pilots.
