I have no problem with the card, and endorse the thematic interpretation of Norsehound.
As a guy who enjoys historical gaming and miniatures as well, however, it's interesting to compare the situation to that of Nelson at Trafalgar. Surely no more charismatic naval leader ever breathed, and yet the Brits fought pretty hard even after he fell.
Well, there are a couple ways to interperet that, too.. When a ship is 'destroyed' in game, does it truly mean the ship was blown to dust? self destructed? or could it represent that the ship was merely mission killed and maybe is abandoned or disabled. Unit morale and the resolve of junior officers would do much to determine how a crew reacts after the loss of upper leadership. Does a junior ship commander assert command over the squadron? to individual ships scatter and run? Does the crew of a damaged ship hold tight and keep fighting, or do they panic and run for the escape pods? A destroyed ship in game terms isn't necessarily utterly obliterated.
Whatever's going on, it's clear he serves under Moff Schroedinger.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen; Motti is Schroedinger's Admiral.

That's where those extra hull points come from.
